RESOLUTION NO. 08
Series of 2024

“RESOLUTION DESIGNATING ALL THE MEMBERS OF OUR

BARANGAY HEALTH WORKERS-(BHWs) INCLUDING OUR BARANGAY
NURSE AND MIDWIFE TASK TO MONITOR, ASSIST AND ENSURE BASIC
RIGHTS FOR CHILDREN WHICH IS THE RIGHT TO SURVIVAL GIVING
PRIORITY ON CHILD HEALTH CARE”

WHEREAS, Local Government Unit- (LGU) and Rural Health Unit – (RHU) in cooperation
by the barangay officials headed by the Punong Barangay, aim to provide and support basic
needs to all children giving priority on child health care;

WHEREAS, all the members of the Barangay Health Workers including our Barangay Nurse
and Midwife are designated to act as Focal Persons in monitoring the health status of our
barangay residents specifically children’s health care;

WHEREAS, the designated focal persons task to strictly monitor, assist and ensure actions
and interventions for children which is the Survival for children’s health that includes the
following:

- That all children are registered at birth;

- That all infants are monitored that they are exclusively breastfeed up to 6 months;
- That all children are fully immunized;
- That all 0–1-year-old are weighed monthly and children over one year old are to
be weigh quarterly;
- That all children are well nourished;
- That all children are given one dose of Vitamin A starting at 6-11 months and 1-5
years old are given Vitamin A capsules twice a year.
NOW THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, be it;

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED to designate all the members of our

Barangay Health Workers to implement these rights and coordinate with all the Barangay
Council for the Protection of Children-(BCPC).
