What we can find in the periodic
table?
Element
An element is a pure substance made of only 1 type of atom that can
not be broken down further into other substances. In this case the
element is Helium, the periodic table show us the element’s name.
Atomic Number
The atomic number of an element is the number of protons
in the nucleus of each atom of that element. In this case,
the atomic number of helium is 2, and the atomic number
varies depending on the element.
State of Matter
The state of matter(liquid, solid, and gas) depends on the
element too, Helium is a gas, but there can be other
elements whose state of matter is liquid, like H2O.
Symbol
The symbol is an abbreviation of the element’s name, it can
be one or two letters, in the case of helium is: He.
Atomic Mass
The atomic mass of an element is the average mass of the
atoms of an element measured in atomic mass units. In the
case of Helium is 4.00, but there are other elements whose
atomic mass is 294 like Oganesson.
How is the periodic table divide
The three broad categories of elements are
The table is divided into The periodic table orders elements metals, nonmetals, and metalloids. Most

of electron energy levels.
.
Metals:With the exception of hydrogen, the elements on
the left-hand side of the periodic table are metals.
Actually, hydrogen acts as a metal, too, in its solid state,
but the element is a gas at ordinary temperatures and
pressures and does not display metallic character under
these conditions.
Metalloids:there is a zig-zag line toward the right side of the periodic
table that acts as a sort of border between metals and nonmetals.
Elements on either side of this line exhibit some properties of metals
and some of the nonmetals. These elements are the metalloids, also
called semimetals. Metalloids have variable properties
Non-metals:Nonmetals are not
abundant elements in the Periodic
Table, and are characterized by not
being good conductors of heat.
