BMS Grade4-10 (S.Y.

2023-2024)

General Guidelines:
- BMS serves as a visual representation of students behavior inside the classroom as a response of
their subject teacher/s.
- BMS chart consist of pictures/names of all students per class.
o At the beginning of the day, all pictures/names must be at the starting point “VERIFIED”
- Student’s pictures/names can be moved up or down by the subject teachers and the adviser.
o Subject teachers – are allowed to move the students down until the bottom block
“BLOCK NOTIFICATION”, while on the other hand they are only allowed to move up until
the “LIKE” block.
o Advisers – The class adviser is the only one allowed to move the students on the two
highest block of the BMS “SUBSCRIBE” as a weekly reward and “RED DIAMOND” as a
reward at the end of the month, given that:
 Was not moved down even once within the whole week/month
 Was not mentioned in the incident notebook with regards to violation
(classroom rules or school wide rules)

Guidelines in moving the students down on the BMS chart:


- All students will be placed at the start point “VERIFIED” at the beginning of the day (it will reset
daily).
- All subject teachers are allowed to move the students down depending on their behavior during
their class (per subject teacher/ per subject area)
o Subject teachers will give up to 2 oral warnings before moving the students
o If a student will continuously misbehave after 2 oral warnings, he/she will then be
moved down to the next block of the BMS chart.
 First block below the starting point is “UNLIKE” which is equivalent to oral
reprimand and a warning; must be reported to the class adviser.
 Second block below is called “UNSUBSCRIBE” which is equivalent to being sent
to the Discipline office or recommended to Guidance Associate.
 Last block at the bottom “BLOCK NOTIFICATION”, if a student will still show
unnecessary behavior, apart from he/she will be asked to visit/talk to the
Discipline Officer/Guidance Associate, the parent will also be informed about
the concern.

Guidelines in moving the students up on the BMS chart:


- Subject teachers are allowed to move the students up until the first block above which is “LIKE”
- Moving up to “LIKE” block depends on the subject teachers’ discretion:
o Example, reaching “LIKE” because of exemplified behavior or as a reward.
- The second block above “SUBSCRIBE” serves as a weekly reward.
 Could be assignment pass, quiz pass, exit pass, etc.
- The top most block “RED DIAMOND” is a special block that serves as a monthly reward.
 Rewards could be... (you can decide together with your advisory class)
