Application for Retroactive Deferment of First Semester 2022/2023 Academic Session -
Bassey Samuel-Godson (Matric No.18020202004)

I write to request for retroactive deferment of the 2022/2023 First semester Academic
Session.
I am Bassey Samuel, a student in the Department of Industrial Relations and personnel
Management, College of Humanities, Management and Social Sciences of the University.

I was not in school for the First semester of 2022/2023 academic session because I did a
change of department from Industrial Relations and personnel management to Public
administration and there was a letter stating that the change of program would be effective
from second semester 2022/2023, I could not continue with my studies for the session. I
was unaware that I should have written to defer my studies.

I am ready to continue my studies this semester. I hereby plead for your kind consideration
of my request, my failure to apply for deferment of my studies when the incident occurred
was due to my ignorance.
