Course Description: The course is designed to prepare future elementary educators to teach social studies effectively to diverse populations of
students in elementary grade. This course will also develop their understanding of the thinking, reading and writing that is central to social
studies and of how social studies and literacy goals can be integrated. It emphasizes the contents of Philippine History and Government that are
necessary in teaching at the elementary level. Furthermore, appropriate teaching strategies and assessment methods shall be included to prepare
students to become primary grade teachers.

Requirements:
1. Students must be present at all times or should not incur 20% absences without prior notice to the instructor or a valid reason of absence
during the whole semester.
2. Students must deliver an informative and well-explained oral discussion on the topic that will be given or assigned to him/her.
3. Students must actively participate during the discussion.
4. Students must pass all the examination.
5. Students must pass all the requirements of the subject course.
