G4 Generation:
Used until 2014 July 1st as VDR and S‐VDR

Yearly inspection and repair services only

Fulfills actual requirements of MSC.333(90) and IEC

61996‐2 Ed. 2 (2013)

Also used as S‐VDR in smaller HW configuration

Most significant changes in regulations:

 Main & Second Radar must be captured

 Primary ECDIS must be captured
 Sensors & Interfaces were added as requirement
(e.g. AIS)
