Frequently asked questions

Why are there so many guidelines about Social Media use and content?
Anything we do on Social Media is permanent. As Most Respected Advisors, it is your
responsibility to properly represent yourself, your clients, and Sun Life. Your actions online
are still governed by Market Conduct Guidelines, while use of logo, taglines, or Sun Life
materials are covered by Intellectual Property Rights.

I’m not sure if my content fits these guidelines. What can I do?
You can use the 3-step checklist to check your content. Also, you can always email
PHIL-DigitalDistribution@sunlife.com to consult your design, or PHIL-Sales-QM@sunlife.com
to consult on content accuracy.

What if I’ve already designed and shared my own content?

We strongly encourage you to use the Sun Life branded templates while you adjust your
current content. However, if your current content does not align with the 10 Guiding
Principles on the Use of Social Media (available in Advisor Home Office), we will contact you
directly for alignment.
