1.1 Prerequisites
The drill SHALL be in setup state not having any faults active.
Based on the prerequisites all of the standard rig interlocks are active.
The drill has a tilt switch located on or near the tower support. The tilt switch output signal
under normal drill level conditions is on / active, Rig unstable = 1.
• The console representations are of a remote controlled rig, panel layout is the same
as standard cab controlled rig.
• To level the drill, raise rig / extend jack cylinders, press and hold the auto button on
the right operator panel, then while keeping the jack handle in center position, press
the rocker in up direction. Once auto level is active there will be an icon in the
bottom tray of the display. When this icon is seen, release both the rocker and auto
button, auto level is active. To stop operation, simply press rocker up or down, jacks
will stop and icon will disappear.
• To de-level the drill, lower rig / retract jack cylinders, press and hold the auto button
on the right operator panel, then while keeping the jack handle in center position,
press the rocker in down direction. Once auto level is active there will be an icon in
the bottom tray of the display. Release both the rocker and button, auto level is
active. To stop operation, simply press rocker up or down, jacks will stop and icon
will disappear.
Indication
auto level
is active.
• There are two columns of set point values. Start from the left column, upper left, and
move down. Numbers 1, 2, 3 are values for the % of maximum output once system
has detected the jack is on the ground, this will allow for smoother levelling and
better accuracy. Number 4 is the maximum time allowed for a complete levelling
cycle, raise rig. Number 5 is the maximum time allowed for all jack on ground
inputs to be active = 1, icons = red. Number 6 is the maximum time allowed for
pitch angle to be close to zero. Number 7 is the maximum time allowed for roll
angle to be close to zero. Number 8 is the target accuracy in pitch direction.
Number 9 is the target accuracy in roll direction. Number 10 is the pitch angle when
the control system will not activate an auto level cycle. Number 11 is the roll angle
when the control system will not activate an auto level cycle. Number 12 is the pitch
angle limit when the control system will not allow auto levelling. Number 13 is the
pitch angle when the control system will set output to value set in Align parameters
#16, 17, and 18. Number 14 is the roll angle when the control system will set output
to value set in Align parameters #16, 17, and 18. Number 15 is the maximum time
allowed for deleveling, lower rig, all jacks retracted inputs = 1, icons = green.
Numbers 16, 17, and 18 are values for the % of maximum output once system has
detected the jack is on the ground, these setting are used is the align parameters are
active.
