Program Structure

MODULE 1: INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Understand the reasons for holding inventory and the different types of inventory
2. Understand the concepts of total cost and total relevant costs
3. Identify and quantify the four major cost components of Total Costs: Purchasing,
Ordering, Holding, and Shortage
4. Understand the functional classifications of inventory

MODULE 2: WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Discuss the strategic importance of the role and functions of the warehouse as a critical
link in the supply chain.
2. Examine how the warehouse plays a strategic role in the distribution of goods from
suppliers to end customers.
3. Demonstrate how a warehouse can be efficiently organized and effectively managed in
the changing environment.
MODULE 3: MATERIAL HANDLING AND PROTECTIVE PACKAGING

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. To know how product features, affect packaging and material handling

2. To learn material handling principles
3. To analyze the utilization of material handling equipment
4. To understand the importance of protective packaging

Language of instruction: English / Malay

Assessment Methods:

Ø Individual Assignments/ Class Test : 60%

Ø Examination : 30%

Ø Attendance : 10%
Entry Requirements:

- Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia ( SPM ) with Maximum of 3 Credits, or

- Any recognized Diploma or other equivalent qualification or

- Mature entry with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory and managerial experience

Fees Structure

Registration Fee : RM 200.00

Tuition Fee : RM 3000.00
Affiliate member : RM 50.00
