 Only use tool / equipment if you are trained and authorized to use the tool / equipment.
 Always check your machine before you start working with the machine (check controls).
 Report all defects / problems to the site mechanic or site supervisor.
 Take care when lowering or raising a machine into excavations.
 Always use safety boots, gloves, ear plugs and hard hats when operating the machine.
 Switch off machine when re-fuelling.
 Have a fire extinguisher at hand when working and re-fuelling.
 Never let untrained inexperienced employees operate compactor.
 Always be aware of children and other people around your machine.
 Ensure that employees working close to the machine that they also wear hearing protection.
 Use spill and flame proof containers to store the fuel in.
 Don’t spill fuel onto ground when decanting.
 If you do spill fuel onto the soil, clean it up immediately and treat soil.
 Ensure that tool has sufficient oil in the engine.
 Work safe and don’t take chances.
