REALIZATION DURING THE 2 YEAR PANDEMIC

Greetings, I am Geena J. Calendro, 21 years old taking up Bachelor of Science in

Criminology, studying at Marvelous College of Technology Inc. At M.H Del Pilar st. Brgy. Zone 4,
City of Koronadal, South Cotabato. I conducted an interview regarding my cousin's realizations on
the 2 year pandemic. The covid 19 pandemic was really shocking and petrifying for each and
everyone of us. It was an unwelcome foe for us. It was so new and foreign that even the
government itself and scientist find it hard to find a cure and a way to still keep the society running
and keep on going on life.
The person that I am interviewing would like to keep her details and information’s private
and would like to start this with the specific questions that I have prepared.

Question:1 (Interviewer): What is your experiences on the 2 year covid 19 pandemic ?

INTERVIEWEE: I experienced online class and adjusting to the new curriculum and the new
way of classes, it was not easy because there are a lot of hardships mostly on academics. In
terms of day to day bases it was hard because of course we are on a lockdown and there are a lot
of restrictions and protocols that we must follow and yeah that's all.

Question:2 (Interviewer):How did you spend your days during the pandemic?
INTERVIEWEE: I spent my days during the pandemic at home, mostly in my room well
because we can't get out because of the quarantine there was no choice. I just do my things
inside, reading, studying, cooking, watching movies and playing games and also spending time
with my family. Along the 2 years of course there are time when I have to go outside because of
some personal reasons and school reasons but of course with proper following of the rules like
wearing your face masks and face shields and carrying your CCTS cards and vaccinations cards
when going outside.

Question:3 (Interviewer):What did you feel on the sudden announcement of the

quarantine?

INTERVIEWEE: Of course it was shock but most of it was not surprising because I was aware
of the disease that was spreading at that time, but i wasn't prepared of the long term effect that
would cause the whole world to pause, and of course there were a lot of adjustments to be made
but well we made it.

Question:4 (Interviewer): For two (2) years being stuck inside the house, was it hard?
Why or Why not?

INTERVIEWEE: Of course it was hard for a student that mostly have and was accustomed to
outdoor activities and going outside. I am a dancer and I mostly go out to practice or part take to
competitions. It was very new to me you know just being inside of the house, you don't know what
to do just to entertain yourself. It's hard when you want to go out but can't because of the risk of
getting infected of the virus, but well I have learned a lot of things, mostly about yourself and about
your family, its actually a positive side of it.

Question:5 (Interviewer): How did covid 19 affect your family?

INTERVIEWEE: It affected my family financially because it was so hard to go out and work.
Financial crisis was a very rampant thing at that time. It was just mostly on finding ways to earn
money for food and daily expenses, it was a good thing that the government was there to help us
on our living. They gave food and money for the people that really needed it and I was thankful for
it. In terms of everyday living it was just hard not to go out and do the things that you were
accustomed to do but yeah its okay naman nakaginhawa din naman na tayo.

Question:6 (Interviewer): All in all what is your realization on the 2 year pandemic?
INTERVIEWEE: We must always take care of ourselves because of course our health is one of
the key components to a successful life, because everything that you do is grounded on your
physical strength nowadays. This 2 year pandemic made us realize the importance of being
hygienic and to be more healthy to have a healthy lifestyle. Choose wisely of what you eat, what
you do, exercise well, be more cautious and follow the protocols so that we won't experience this
pandemic again.
