Environment Essay
500+ Words Essay on Environment
Every year, on 5th June, we all celebrate World Environment Day. All living beings and non-
living beings present on the Earth represent the environment. Plants, creatures, water, air, and
other living things exist in our environment. Our environment gets influenced by Climatic
interaction, Geomorphic measures, and Hydrologic measures. The life of humans and animals is
entirely dependent on climate. Our environment supports life on Earth. Everything we inhale,
feel, and energy comes from the environment. The environment is considered a cover that helps
sustain life on Earth. Among all the planets, it is our planet Earth that supports life.
Importance of Environment
Every day we get to hear about threats to the environment. Our environment includes everything
from the forests to the oceans, which impacts our everyday life. It can be deforestation, pollution,
soil erosion, etc., which needs to be addressed seriously.
1. Livelihoods of People depends on the Environment
Billions of people depend on the environment for their livelihood. For example, over 1.5 billion
people depend on forests for food, medicine, shelter and more. Farmers turn to the woods when
their crops fail. Almost two billion people earn a living from agriculture, and the other three
billion people are on the ocean.
2. Environment Strength Food Security
Many negative consequences are encountered due to biodiversity loss, but weakened food
security is extensive. If we lose our precious animals and plant species, we become more
vulnerable to pests and diseases. Due to this, our health is at a greater risk of related illnesses like
diabetes and heart disease. So, we should protect our oceans and forests to ensure food for every
human being.
3. Environment Brings Many Diseases
We also learned that the Covid-19 is most likely a zoonotic disease. Diseases spread when
humans disturb the territory of other animal species. As per research, around 60% of human
infections originate from animals. Bird flu and swine flu are also diseases related to animals.
4. Trees Clean the Air
Pollution is a crucial issue, and every year, 7 million people die due to pollution. Polluted air
impacts our health and lifespans, including behavioural problems, developmental delays, and
diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. The trees work as a filter to remove air pollutants like
carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and sulphur dioxide while releasing oxygen.
Gender Equality
Gender Equality refers to equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities for both women and
men. It implies that the interests, needs and priorities of both women and men are taken into
consideration, recognizing the diversity of different groups of women and men. Worldwide,
women’s fundamental rights continue to be violated, and they face discrimination in access to
education, work, social protection, inheritance, economic assets, productive resources,
participation in decision-making and society. Women spend two to ten times more time on
unpaid work than men, which is one of the main obstacles to economic and political
empowerment.
Persistent differences and disparities between men and women have negative implications on
society as a whole. Women represent half the resources and half the potential in any society. This
potential remains unrealized when women are constrained by inequality and discrimination.
Many gender disparities emerge in early childhood and intensify in adolescence. Girls are
deprived of access to health care or proper nutrition, leading to a higher mortality rate. As they
move into the age of adolescence, gender disparities widen. Child marriage affects girls far more
than boys. Globally, nearly 15 million girls under age 18 are married every year. It’s difficult for
them to access education. Girls still face barriers to enter in primary and secondary school. The
lack of education provided limits access to skills and jobs in good organizations and at reputed
posts.

Friendship Essay
We have different types of relationships with people around us. With a few of them, we share a
blood bond such as with our family and with others we forge our own connections. Friendship is
one such relationship which we choose by ourselves. God has given us this liberty to choose
friends because they are, in most instances, for a lifetime. A friend is someone who is initially a
stranger and then takes his/her place above all other relationships. Friendship is considered as
one of the treasures that anyone can have.
Friendship can exist between the same sex or opposite sex. It can happen between an old man
and a small boy. Friendship can also exist between humans and their pet animals. Moreover, it
can also be felt in familial relationships such as between father and son, mother and daughter etc.
A simple bond of friendship can help uproot various prejudices and negative thoughts from
society such as religious conflict, violence, human rights abuse, poverty, illiteracy, etc.
Friendship can generate passion among people to create a better world where all are united
together.
Role of a Friend
Friends are an integral part of our life. To develop a strong, true friendship, we should treat
friends with love and respect, the way we would expect them to treat us. In this way, the
friendship will last longer. Some of the ways that define the role of friendship in achieving
success are:
3. Early Marriage
Early marriage is also an essential factor for the rapid increase in population. In India, the
marriage age of a girl is 18, which is very low compared to other countries, which is about 23 to
25 years. It leads to a longer span of reproductive activity and increases in children.
5. Poverty
Another major cause of population explosion is poverty. In most families, children become the
source of income. From a very young age, children start working for their families instead of
going to school, and they become a precious asset for the family. So, every individual becomes
an earning member and additional income for the family.
6. Standard of Living
It is seen that people with a low standard of living wish to have additional children as it will be
an asset for them rather than a liability. As we know, most of India’s population is uneducated,
so they don’t understand the importance of family planning. They are unaware that they can
enjoy a better quality of life with a small family.
7. Illiteracy
In India, 60% of the population is either illiterate or has minimum education, which leads to
minimal employment opportunities. So, due to the high illiteracy rate and belief in social
customs, child marriage and preference for a male child still prevail. As a result, there is a rapid
population growth rate in India.
3. Environmental Degradation
Extensive use of natural resources and energy production of oil, natural gas, and coal negatively
impacts the planet. An increase in population also leads to deforestation, which directly affects
the environment, and it also degrades the soil’s nutrition value and causes landslides and global
warming.
Conclusion
So, at last, we can wrap up the essay by stating that overpopulation is considered one of the
biggest challenges humanity faces.
Ideal Student

Origin of Cinema
Cinema is short for cinematography. Cinematography is the illusion of movement seen on a
screen. This illusion of movement is a result of recording and then projecting several still
photographs rapidly on the screen. This medium of mass communication and entertainment is a
product of 19th century science. Unlike most scientific inventions, the cinema doesn’t have just
one inventor. Several scientists of the time like Edison, the Lumiere brothers William Friese-
Greene worked to invent motion pictures and the cameras that recorded them.
The Edison company invented a device called the Kinetoscope, which allowed a person to view
moving pictures through a peephole. In 1895, the Lumiere brothers invented a device called the
Cinématographe, which could project moving pictures onto a screen. The Cinématographe was a
three-in-one device, it was a camera, a projector and a film printer.
The first films were short, lasting a few minutes and did not have synchronized sound or
dialogues. But with more scientific innovations, production houses started making feature-length
movies with color and synchronized sound. Roundhay Garden Scene, which was recorded by
English photographer Louis Le Prince is believed to be the first motion picture ever made. The
motion picture was recorded in Leeds, England in 1888. The first Indian cinema was Raja
Harishchandra, which was recorded and shown to the public in 1913.
Conclusion
In conclusion, cinemas have had a vast impact on our lives. From educating and entertaining us
to opening our minds to new possibilities and inspiring us, movies have changed our lives in
several ways. The best way to ensure cinema doesn’t have a negative impact is to appreciate and
learn the good aspects while leaving out the bad.

Demonetisation in India
The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, announced demonetisation on 8th November 2016,
where Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes were withdrawn from circulation. It was a major event of the
year 2016. The demonetisation decision was taken by the Government in consultation with the
RBI. The action was taken to tackle Black Money which is available in various forms like cash,
investment in property and real estate, luxury goods like jewellery or with foreign currency
dealers and private financiers. The target was to curb the use of black money.
The other motto of demonetisation was to reduce corruption. With demonetisation, the cash in
the hands of corrupt people becomes useless, and if the same is deposited in the banks, it loses
anonymity, and the person has to pay taxes on the said amount.
The demonetisation also helped in promoting digitalisation through online transactions. A large
section of the Indian economy was being run on the cash system, which does not get captured by
the tax department as it does not leave any trail. So, the Government thought about promoting
digitisation and formalisation of the economy through online transactions, e-wallets, various
payment instruments like Paytm, Rupay cards, BHIM app etc. The beauty of these instruments is
that the entire economic activity gets captured. It reduces tax evasion and improves tax
collection.

Disaster Management
Disasters have massive human and economic costs. They may cause many deaths, severe
injuries, and food shortages. Most incidents of severe injuries and deaths occur during the time
of impact, whereas disease outbreaks and food shortages often arise much later, depending on the
nature and duration of the disaster. Anticipating the potential consequences of disasters can help
determine the actions that need to be started before the disaster strikes to minimize its effects.
Disasters are the ultimate test of a community’s emergency response capability. There are 3
major steps that can be taken to manage disaster which include Pre-disaster management, during
disaster management and post disaster management. The pre-disaster management involves
generating data and information about the disasters, preparing vulnerability zoning maps and
spreading awareness among the people about these. Apart from these, disaster planning,
preparedness and preventive measures are other steps that need to be taken in the vulnerable
areas.
During disasters, rescue and relief operations such as evacuation, construction of shelters and
relief camps, supplying of water, food, clothing and medical aids etc. should be done on an
emergency basis. Post-disaster operations involve rehabilitation and recovery of victims. It
should concentrate on capacity building in order to cope with future disasters, if any. These
measures have special significance to India as about two-third of its geographical area and equal
proportion of its population is vulnerable to disasters. The Government of India has also taken
some steps for disaster management such as passing of the disaster management bill and
establishment of the National Institute of Disaster Management.

Essay on Constitution of India
500+ Words Indian Constitution Essay for Students and Children in English
A Constitution is a set of rules and regulations guiding the administration of a country. The
Constitution is the backbone of every democratic and secular fabric of the nation. The
Constitution of India is the longest Constitution in the world, which describes the framework for
political principles, procedures and powers of the government. The Constitution of India was
written on 26 November 1949 and came into the force on 26 January 1950. In this essay on the
Constitution of India, students will get to know the salient features of India’s Constitution and
how it was formed.
The Indian Constitution is the lengthiest Constitution of the world. It had 395 articles in 22 parts
and 8 schedules at the time of commencement. Now it has 448 articles in 25 parts and 12
schedules. There are 104 amendments (took place on 25th January 2020 to extend the reservation
of seats for SCs and STs in the Lok Sabha and states assemblies) that have been made in the
Indian Constitution so far.
How Rigid and Flexible is the Indian Constitution?
One of the unique features of our Constitution is that it is not as rigid as the American
Constitution or as flexible as the British Constitution. It means it is partly rigid and partly
flexible. Owing to this, it can easily change and grow with the change of times.
The Preamble
The Preamble has been added later to the Constitution of India. The original Constitution does
not have preamble. The preamble states that India is a sovereign, socialist, secular and
democratic republic. The objectives stated by the Preamble are to secure justice, liberty, equality
to all citizens and promote fraternity to maintain unity and integrity of the nation.
Federal System with Unitary Features
The powers of the government are divided between the central government and the state
governments. The Constitution divides the powers of three state organs, i.e., executive, judiciary
and legislature. Hence, the Indian Constitution supports a federal system. It includes many
unitary features such as a strong central power, emergency provisions, appointment of Governors
by the President, etc.
Fundamental rights and fundamental duties
The Indian Constitution provides an elaborate list of Fundamental Rights to the citizens of India.
The Constitution also provides a list of 11 duties of the citizens, known as the Fundamental
Duties. Some of these duties include respect of the national flag and national anthem, integrity
and unity of the country and safeguard of public property.

Importance of Time
Time is valuable as we are provided with limited time in our entire life span. We can’t say what
will happen in the next few hours of our life. It is flexible and ruthless because it doesn’t wait for
anyone. So, always use your time wisely. We should not waste our time doing unnecessary
things or activities. You should make every moment of your time meaningful.
Money has become the most significant factor in everyone’s life in the modern era. But, you
should understand that time is more precious than money. You can’t buy time, irrespective of
how rich you are, but you can earn money with better use of time. Time is uncontrollable, so
once it’s gone, it is gone forever.
Money can be earned later by effort and hard work. But, unfortunately, once the time is gone,
nothing can bring back that hour of our life. Therefore, we should respect time more than
anything on this planet.
While doing our daily routine and even in workplaces, we should manage time efficiently. By
doing so, we can complete our tasks without any obstacles. Moreover, we can also learn the
importance of time from Mother Nature. The arrival of different seasons, day and night changes,
sunrise and sunset, and earth rotation demonstrate the correct use of time. All they offer is
nothing but effective use of time to prevent chaos.

Everyone says that youths are the future of the nation but what about their future? What
is meant by making the future of the country when the future of its youths is not
secured? A secure and fruitful future comes with good employment.
Everyone needs a well-reputed job to fulfill his dreams and the comforts of life. With
time, job opportunities are getting decreased and the level of unemployment is at its
peak. Today in India, there are millions of candidates who are unemployed and
searching for jobs. During this period, the announcement of mass recruitment will be
good news for the unemployed youth of India.
The scheme Agneepath was passed on May 2022 by Union Cabinet which was later
announced by the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on 14 June 2022. Under the
Agneepath scheme, youths will be recruited for the Indian Armed Forces. They can be
selected for the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force according to their qualification. This
scheme aimed to give more youth faces to the Indian Army. About 46,000 candidates
will be recruited every year under this scheme. However, only candidates belonging to
the age groups 17.5 to 21 will be eligible to apply for this Agnipath Yojana.
The soldiers selected for this scheme will be given a special name known as
“Agniveers”. The service period of Agniveers will be only 4 years including 6 months of
training. After 4 years, only 25% of soldiers will be kept as permanent depending on
their performance while others will be sent home.
Agniveers are expected to enjoy many benefits under this scheme. In the first year of
service, candidates will be given 30,000 per month as their salary which will be later
increased up to 40,000 by the end of the service. However, only 70 % of the salary will
be given in hand rest of 30 % will be deducted for the “Seva Nidhi” package. This
package will remain free from taxes.
After four years of service, Agniveers will be given a “Seva Nidhi” package of 11.71
Lakh. This is the sum of their deducted salary along with the equal contribution of the
government with interest. During the four years of service, Agniveers will be provided
life insurance of 48 lakhs and 1 crore will be given to the family in case of death.
Apart from financial benefits, candidates can generate skills like discipline, physical
fitness, teamwork, etc. They will be awarded the certification of their training that will be
helpful in other future aspects.
People of the country are not accepting this scheme happily and even protesting
against it. In many states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, etc students
are conducting a violent protests against this scheme. Youths are dissatisfied with the
age limit and short service period of this scheme. Although the government has decided
to increase the age limit to 23 years it was unable to make any difference in the existing
protest. In many areas, students are burning trains and harming government properties.
Now the youths are demanding the government take back this scheme.
Conclusion
After the announcement of this newly proposed scheme, people in India started
presenting their views and opinions. Many people are appreciating the scheme while
others are participating in mass protests. The news of many violent protests from all
over India is coming up. Let us see if the government is making changes to meet the
demands of the youths or if they will have to compromise again with their career.
I hope the above provided essay on Agnipath Scheme will be helpful for you in knowing
the details of this scheme.
