Main purpose of the job is to performance maintenance in accordance to the standard operating procedures in
compliance to SAAT, Manufactures and Regulatory Authority requirements on South African Airways and other
customers` aircraft Schedules. Key accountabilities include:
⦁ Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance which requires inspection, servicing, repairs, testing
and basic troubleshooting in accordance to the relevant customers` schedule and Manufactures and
Regulatory Authority requirements
⦁ Completion of all relevant documentation and ensuring that sign-off on work done is completed as per the
relevant policies
⦁ Inspection and reporting of defective equipment
⦁ Ensuring that correct and serviced tooling is obtained and utilised for performing required maintenance in a
safely manner
⦁ Compiling and sending of daily technical reports to the relevant stakeholders such as next line stations,
customer technical office
⦁ Managing, controlling and maintaining equipment in area of responsibility to ensure that safe working
environment and proper housekeeping is maintained
⦁ Performing the duties of the Senior Licence Technician when required, therefore counter signing off on
work done and certification thereof. In addition this include supervision of the other team members
⦁ Ensuring that identified Technical problems or issues are communicated timely to the Team leader
⦁ Assisting the Senior Licence Technician and Team leader with on the job training for new employees

standard operating procedures in compliance to SAAT, Manufactures and Regulatory Authority requirements on
South African Airways and other customers` aircraft Schedules. Key accountabilities included:
⦁ Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance which requires inspection, servicing, repairs, testing
 and basic troubleshooting on inflight entertainment systems
⦁ Replacing hardware where necessary
⦁ Updating and installation of new software periodically
⦁ Ensuring that the relevant sign offs on the work performed has been obtained
