Lexicon is the vocabulary of a language or branch of knowledge in linguistics, a lexicon is a language's
inventory of lexemes. Therefore, lexicology is the study of the lexicon of a language (relations among
words, formation of words...), is the area of language study concerned with the nature, meaning, history
and use of the stock of lexemes existing in a language.
Lexicography is the art and science of compiling works such as dictionaries, glossaries, thesaurus,
synonym guides, where items of vocabulary are described.
Lexemes can be labelled lexical items and can be defined as the words as they appear in the dictionary.
