Ms. Buendia clearly demosntrates an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and expectations for her students. She consistently establishes

manner. Megan is able to quickly attend to any disruption seamlessly and with little to no interruption in the learning routine. She designs creative lessons that
engage all students.

Megan is sensitive to all students and colleagues, treating them with the utmost consideration and respect. She is keenly aware of each student and their particular
needs, always asking and answering questions with sensitivity and respect. For example, during the observed lesson, she gave students the option of indicating with
a symbol on their desk whether or not they were comfortable with popcorn reading. "Put a check mark on your desk if you would like to read today, or an X if you
would rather not." It is evident that Ms. Buendia is fully committed to her community of learners. All students were engaged, supportive of one another, and eager
to participate in this safe and inclusive learning climate. She has developed an excellent rapport with the students and also maintains strong relationships with staff
members and parents.

students. She is not afraid to accept mistakes and learn from them in front of her students, providing yet again an excellent example of some critical life skills.

As previously mentioned, Ms. Buendia positively interacts with students, families, staff, and administration. She understands the expectations and responsibilities of
the profession and takes them seriously. She demonstrates committment, enthusisams, and a passion for teaching on a daily basis. Megan has a strong
committment to this profession, and especially her students. She is a natural teacher! Her mentor states the following: "She is a very strong candidate for this
profession!"
