MAINTENACE PLANNING ENGINEER


Qualifications:
● BSc. Engineering degree in appropriate discipline.
● Fifteen (15) or above years’ experience in wastewater pump station, advancedwastewater
treatment equipment.
● Demonstrated leadership qualities.
● Expressed interest in assuming high level management responsibilities.
● Good skills of using Enterprise Asset Management Software. (Oracle Enterprise Asset
Management (eAM)/ GIS)
● Advanced MS Office skills.
● Good command of English language.

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):


● Initiating, (as per manufacturer recommendations) resource loaded Preventive
Maintenance (PM) schedules & job plans (activities planned duration, estimatedresources
and man-hours.
● Uploading the PM schedules and job plans into DISC Asset Management Software.
● Following up and updating all kind of maintenance work orders and actuals reporting (spent
duration, man-hours, spares, equipment’s and reflected cost).
● Providing maintenance schedules & job plans in advance to maintenance team.
● Following up all spare parts requisitions with procurement department to ensure the
on-time delivery of the requested materials.
● Loading the preventive maintenance schedule with the required manpower into Asset
Management Software.
● Liaise with the Engineer.
● Attend relevant meetings with his Manager.
2. INSTRUMENT, CONTROL AND AUTOMATION (ICA) ENGINEER
Qualifications:
● BSc or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation.
● Minimum 2 years’ experience of working at site undertaking supervision duties
onwastewater treatment works.
● Minimum of 12 years’ experience with at least 3 years in the Middle East.
● Experience in the preparation of P&IDs, development of control system architecture
designs, functional design specifications, control descriptions and instrumentation and
control system specifications and drawings.
● Experience in the wastewater analytical instruments and sampling systems.
● Thorough knowledge of SCADA and PLC systems architectures and software,
communications protocols, instrument selection criteria, control room layout, structured
cabling systems and applicable international standards.
● Apply automation or electronic implementation skills to include diagnose, modifyPLCs and
install Instrumentation systems (including flow, level, pressure, temperature and
bio/chemical instruments).
● Experience in the ELV systems including fiber optics and LAN.
● Working knowledge of data networks and IT systems integration as applied to process
control and associated information technology systems.

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):


● Be accountable for the quality of site construction and installation work onInstrumentation
and Control system.
● Lead the project team on the SCADA/PLC and instrumentation works and other ICA works.
● Assist all Process instrumentation, control and automation site issues andsupporting critical
defects and punch lists rectification works.
● Attendance in meetings, discussions with clients and to lead in technical and
progress discussions.
● Ensuring site team’s safety compliance.
● Monitor and enforce strict site permit-to-work system for ICA works.
3. HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL (HSE) ENGINEER
Qualifications:
● Degree in Science/Engineering/Technical or equivalent with professional HSE Certificate
(preferably NEBOSH/ Graduate Membership - GradIOSH) or equivalent education in health
safety & Environmental discipline.
● Science educated and certified through internationally recognized / agencies as having and
received comprehensive training in construction environment (e.g. Environment
management, ISO 14001:2004 implementing, internal auditor, or similar) is preferred.
● Minimum seven (7) or above years of operation or construction health and safetytechniques
and management experience on projects.
● Working knowledge in specific relevant safety techniques and have a knowledgeof the legal
and contractual health, safety and environmental requirements that must be met.

● Excellent interpersonal and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of contractor’s


organization.
● Good attitude, self-motivated, willing to learn and possess strong problem-solvingskills.
● Computer literate in Windows/MS Office.
Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):
● Ensure implementation of HSED 11 - DISC’s HSE Requirements for Contractors(Water and
wastewater) throughout the contract.
● Prepare & Submit project HSE Management plans and /facilitate implementation ofHSE plans.
● Ensure that all work is performed by the contract in accordance with HSED 11 – DISC HSE
Requirements for Contractors (water and wastewater), approved HSE plan and DISC Safety
rules and procedures.
● Ensure all plant and equipment is fit for the purpose, secured adequately maintained and
possesses valid test certificates.
● Ensure all contractors employees are trained in HSE courses as per DISC requirements and
competent to perform their work safely.
● Ensure incidents are reported and investigated as per DISC Incident investigation and
reporting procedure HSEP 17.
● Management of hazards and advising on suitable measures which can be used for preventing
and ultimately recovering from accident situation.
● Ensure site security, fire, first aid and welfare facilities and procedures are providedand
properly maintained.
● Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees.
● Conduct & report HSE audits and prepare applicable HSE reports as necessary.
● Conduct incident investigation & identify underlying causes.
● Monitor/assist in the compliance of applicable HSE rules/ laws and regulations.
● Be fully conversant with HSE documentations and emergency procedures.
● Review and recommend changes in contract HSE plan.
● Do regular HSE inspections and Audits and ensure compliance by the contractors as per DISC
requirements.
● Be conversant with latest safety techniques to prevent incident and capable to manage HSE
and facilitate the contractor to implement DISC HSE procedures.
Note:-
● HSE Engineer shall be trained and competent as per DISC’s HSE requirements and shall undergo an
interview and assessment with DISC QHSSE Department before mobilization to manage contract
HSE requirements.
● HSE Engineer shall report to DISC QHSSE Department on all HSE issues and shall be available
throughout the contract and shall not be demobilized without prior approval from DISC.

4. Store Keeper
Qualifications:
● Diploma with Five (5) years working experience in similar capacity.
● Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
● Good knowledge of Basic computer operations.
● Expertise in written and spoken English, Arabic is an advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):

● Maintains receipts, records, and withdrawals.


● Verifies ledgers, statements and supporting documents.
● Communicates with others in order to receive or transmit information.
● Attends meetings as required.

5. WRP INCHARGE

Qualifications:
● BSc. Engineering degree in appropriate discipline.
● Fifteen (15) or above years’ experience in wastewater sector, advanced wastewatertreatment
equipment.
● Five (5) years’ experience as a Manager.
● Demonstrated leadership qualities, good human relations techniques and communication skills
Expressed interest in assuming high level management responsibilities.

● Computer skill is required.

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):


● Manage day to day, operation of WRP/STP system and all related process works.
● Review daily operations, maintenance, laboratory data and time sheets and personnelactions.
● Review and approve the shift schedule.
● Review all accident safety and security reports and actions.
● Assist in administration and supervisory duties.
● Develop and submit:
- Daily operations and maintenance reports.
- Weekly operations and maintenance reports.
- Quarterly operation and maintenance reports.

7. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Qualifications:
● BSc. Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering.
● Eight (8) years’ experience in wastewater treatment plant, advanced wastewatertreatment
equipment.
● Expressed interest in assuming high level management responsibilities.
● Good background in preparation the maintenance reports and maintenance taskdescription in
work orders.
● Demonstrated leadership qualities, good human relations techniques and
communication skills Expressed interest in assuming high level managementresponsibilities.

8. INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER

Qualifications:
● B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (related field).
● Eight (8) or above years’ experience in wastewater treatment plant, advancedwastewater
treatment equipment.
● Good knowledge of computer systems, electronic monitoring, metering, controlling,
signaling devices, PLC control systems, VFD control systems, SCADA systemcontrols, fiber optic,
and Ethernet system.
Experience with SCADA software and use of database and display configurations in
troubleshooting.
● Self-motivated and managed, detailed and process-oriented individual with strongtechnical
skills and good interpersonal team skills.
● Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
● Ability to work effectively with team members of all disciplines.
● A broad knowledge in Instrument and Controls Engineering practices andprocedures.
● Experience with PLC control systems.
● Experience in basic programming.
● Ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
● Experience in or working knowledge of control theory.

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):


● Discusses planned and unplanned jobs undertaken with WRP/STP engineers.
● Works with the WRP/STP Manager, Engineers for outage planning and execution.
● Supports reliable and accessible 24-hour engineering callout functionality.
● Attempts all possible means of reducing equipment downtime and ensuring highplant
availability.
● Performs troubleshooting activities as necessary to determine failure conditions and
rectifies any defects found.
● Records and reports all rectification jobs undertaken to the WRP/STP Manager.
● Generates reports on equipment failure.
● Performs Root Cause Analysis of failures.
● Works with Plant Operations Personnel to resolve problems encountered with I&Cequipment.

9. OPERATION ENGINEER (WRP)

Qualifications:
● B.Sc. in Chemical or equivalent (related field).
● Five (5) or above years’ experience in operation of wastewater treatment plant,advanced
wastewater treatment equipment.
● Expressed interest in assuming high level management responsibilities.
● Good command of English language is essential.
● Good background of preparation the maintenance reports and maintenance taskdescription in
work orders
● Demonstrated leadership qualities.
● Ability to work effectively with team members of all disciplines.

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):


● Operates Treatment plant, sludge thermal dryer system, processing and disposal equipment in
wastewater (sewage) treatment plant to control flow and processing ofsewage through auto
control system.
● Read and record operating data on log sheets and provide surveillance of processes, flows,
equipment and activities.
● Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings.
and tests results to determine load requirements.
● Starts and stops pumps, blowers, belt press and screen bars to control flow of raw sewage
through filtering, settling, aeration, and sludge digestion processes.
● Report any unusual process or flow conditions, or unusual operation of mechanical,
electrical equipment to WRP in charge
● Report any equipment failure to the maintenance team with coordinate of planningengineer.
● Follow established safety practices and procedures for all activities.
● Assist in the training of operator of grade “E”.
● Perform complex process control calculations.
● Carry-out first line maintenances.

10. PLANTS SUPERVISOR

Qualifications:
● Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical field.
● Eight (8) or above years’ experience in similar nature projects.
● Good command of English language is essential.
● Good background of preparation the maintenance reports and maintenance taskdescription in
work orders
● Demonstrated leadership qualities.
● Ability to work effectively with team members of all disciplines.

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):


● Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review and participate in the work of staffresponsible for
WRP/STP & Hareet STP operations.
● Establish schedules and methods for providing Main services; identify resource.
needs; review needs with appropriate management staff; allocate resourcesaccordingly.
● Coordinate laboratory sampling and analysis.
● Submit justification for system or facilities repair or expansion.
● Monitor and adjust computerized SCADA system and process control software.

14. SENIOR MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:
● Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
● Eight (8) or above years’ experience in wastewater Treatment Plants.
● Good communication skills.
● Troubleshooting skills.
● Good emergency response.
● Good knowledge of general Tool Usage.

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):


● Attending breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve, with minimal period.
Carry out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance and repairs to all types of Plant and equipment in a
safe.
● Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to management.
● Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.

15. SENIOR CONDITION MONITORING TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:
● Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
● Five (5) or above years’ experience in the same position.
● Good communication skills.
● Knowledge of maintenance Principles.
● Good knowledge of Predictive maintenance desirable.
● Good computer literacy.

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):


● Assist the Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to develop condition monitoring routesand check for
Plant equipment.
● Monitor the general physical condition of plant assets and report same for preventive and
corrective actions as necessary.
● Follow up with Plant area personnel to ensure problems identified are corrected at atime that
prevents equipment and process failure. Serious issues will be reported to the concern Engineer
for follow up action and resolution.
● Clean and care condition monitoring tools and equipment. Ensure equipment is keptin good
working condition. Reports defects to the concern engineer for repairs, calibration or
replacement.
● Participate in audits and reviews of the condition monitoring function to identify actions for
continuous improvement.
● Perform duties in a manner that protects personal safety as well as the safety of all
personnel on site. Whenever appropriate, promptly report safety, health or Environment incidents
or issues to management so the situation can be corrected.
● Participate actively in safety programs, promote safety rules and good housekeeping method.

16. SENIOR OPERATOR

Qualifications:
● ITI Certificate or equivalent qualification in Instrumentation/Mechanical/ ElectricalField.
● Five (5) experiences experience in the similar field.
● Acceptable communication skills.
● Troubleshooting skills
● General Tool Usage
Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):
● Run tests to make sure that the processes are working correctly.
● Keep records.
● Operate and maintain the pumps and motors that move water and wastewater
throughfiltration systems.
● Monitor the indicators at their plants and make adjustments as necessary.
● Read meters and gauges to make sure that plant equipment is working properly.
● Adjust the amount of chemicals, such as chlorine and fluorine, being added to thewater.
● Plan emergency reaction protocols.
● Fix chemical leaks and oxygen deficiencies.
● Keep records that document compliance.

17. ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN–MPS, APS & GP

Qualifications:
● ITI Certificate or equal qualification in Electrical Engineering.
● Eight (8) or above years’ experience as an Electrical Technician.
● Acceptable communication skills.
● Troubleshooting skills
● General Tool Usage

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):


● All planned maintenance tasks (scheduled & emergent).

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):


● All planned maintenance tasks (scheduled & emergent).
● Monitor general physical condition of plant assets and report same for preventive andcorrective
actions as necessary.
● Ensures equipment, materials and tools are on-hand for work execution.
● Perform duties in a manner that protects personal safety as well as the safety of all personnel
on site. Whenever appropriate, promptly report safety, health or Environment incidents or
issues to management so the situation can be corrected.

19. WELDING TECHNICIAN


Qualifications:
● A valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is preferred.
● A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a welder.
● Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manualtools.
Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):
● Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines.
● Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines thatperform the same
job.
● Maintain and repair all machinery.
● Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
● Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves,protective
masks, and safety shoes.
● Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
● Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
20. INSTRUMENTATION, CONTROL & AUTOMATION (ICA) -MPS, APS, GP

Qualifications:
● ITI Certificate or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation.
● Five (5) or above years’ experience as an Instrumentation/SCADA Technician.
● Proficient working knowledge and experience of low and medium voltage systems.
● Working knowledge of various communication drivers e.g. Modbus, Ethernet,
Profibus and Radios.
● Repair and calibration of a wide range of process monitoring equipment wastewater.

Controllers), instrumentation, control and automation equipment in a safe, efficient, timely and
effective manner with minimum supervision.
● Experience of process control and electrical systems role in the wastewater industry
● Experience of working with and understanding of PLCs to include management and
programming.
● Perform other duties as assigned.

21. HVAC TECHNICIAN - MPS, APS, GP & TSE

Qualifications:
● ITI Certificate or equivalent qualification in Air-conditioning.
● Eight (8) or above years’ experience as an HVAC/ AC Technician.
● Acceptable communication skills.
● Troubleshooting skills
● General Tool Usage

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):


● Carries out preventive maintenance of equipment and systems.
● Repairs faulty Air Conditioning equipment and Plant.
● Carries out routine checks and logs of the status of Air Conditioning equipment.
● Requisitions for materials required for the smooth operation of the Air Conditioningequipment.
● Assists in verification of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning spares purchased/supplied.
● Trouble-shoot Air Conditioning equipment malfunctions, diagnose problems andperform
maintenance on Air Conditioning equipment.
● Manage the safety of the Air Conditioning Plant rooms and workshops.
● Make recommendations to replace equipment if expected cost to repair exceedspossible
replacement cost.
● Make minor installation decisions.
● Perform regular cleaning of the equipment.

22. OPERATOR

Qualifications:
● ITI Certificate or equivalent qualification in Instrumentation/Mechanical/ ElectricalField.
● Five (5) experiences experience in a similar field.

23. CCTV ENGINEER

Qualifications:
● BSc. Engineering degree in appropriate discipline.
● Ten (10) or above years’ experience in wastewater sector, advanced wastewatertreatment
equipment.
● Perform servicing and minor repairs on equipment.
● Ability to make minor field adjustments to assigned equipment.
● Assess material and equipment needed for assigned jobs.
● Demonstrated leadership qualities, good human relations techniques andcommunication
skills Expressed interest in assuming high level management responsibilities.
● Good command of English language is essential.
● Good background of operation and work experience.
● Take coaching, instruction, and feedback with a cooperative and positive attitude.

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):


● Operate CCTV truck and equipment involved in the maintenance, repair, and inspection of
storm drains, wastewater collection, and other related structures and systems; secures
equipment upon completion of work.
● Inspect sewer lines and other structures using standard guidelines andrecommendations.
● Direct and perform all tasks related to the televising and cleaning of the wastewater
collection system and related appurtenances; operate video inspectiontruck and equipment
for inspecting sewer and storm drain lines; review video reports for potential problems and
report to supervisors.
● Maintain the safe working condition of all equipment used; perform minor repairs.

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):
● Operates MPSs/APSs control flow and processing of sewage through auto controlsystem.
