AFFIDAVIT REQUESTING THE RELEASE OF THE CORPSE OF MRS. MARIS
FAVOUR EDOIGIAWERIE TO THE ANGSTROM PARTNERS (SOLICITORS)
I, Oluwasegun Taiwo, Male, Adult, Christian, Nigerian Citizen, Litigation Officer in The
Angstrom Partners, Counsel to the Plaintiff/Respondent with address at 167, Ikorodu Road, Onipan,
Lagos-Nigeria, under the auspices of Omonosa Agidigbi Esq. of same address do make oath and
state as follows, namely,
1. That I am a Deponent herein on record during the investigation of the above-captioned
matter and I have the authority of my employers and our Partner Omonosa Agidigbi Esq. to
depose to same.
2. That our law firm and our Managing Partner have been given a Power of Attorney as Donee,
from the Donor and Husband of the above-captioned Late Mrs. Maris Favour Edoigiawerie,
Mr. Victor Edoigiawerie who recently relocated to the United States of America, authorizing
our law firm to receive the corpse from the Nigeria Police Force under the auspices of the
State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department SCIID Panti, Yaba-Lagos.
3. That our law firm and our Managing Partner have been given another Power of Attorney as
Donee, from another Donor and Senior Brother of the above-captioned Late Mrs. Maris
Favour Edoigiawerie, Mr. Bobby Eguavoen who long time ago relocated to Spain,
authorizing our law firm to receive the corpse from the State Criminal Investigation and
Intelligence Department SCIID Panti, Yaba-Lagos.
4. That I duly represented our law firm and aforesaid Omonosa Agidigbi Esq., our Managing
Partner and Donee of the aforesaid Power of Attorney at the office of the Nigeria Police
Force, SCIID Panti, Yaba-Lagos on the 29th day of August 2023.
5. That our law firm and our aforesaid Managing Partner having been given Power of Attorney
as Donee, has undertaken to ensure compliance with the mandate of the Power of Attorney
from each of them as they are both authorizing them to receive the late deceased corpse for
onward funeral in Benin City in Edo State.
6. That I, and my employers and aforesaid Managing Partner, would comply with the relevant
laws and instruments applicable to the investigation and directives of the Nigeria Police
Force, SCIID Panti, Yaba-Lagos in respect of the alleged murder of the aforesaid Late Mrs.
Maris Favour Edoigiawerie around August 16, 2023 in Lagos.
7. That I depose to this Affidavit in good faith.
