A not very common sport in
Peru

Braulio: Hello guys! Let's analyze which sports we find interesting. I like badminton.

Where is it played?

Oscar: Badminton is usually played indoors. It began in the mid-19th century in British

India. It is a fast paced game.

Nilber: Wow, it looks like it's not dangerous. How many players are there?

Braulio: It is generally played in singles or doubles, that is, two or four players.

Oscar: Great. And how do you get points in badminton?

Braulio: Points are scored when the shuttlecock lands on the opponent's court. It's very

exciting!

Nilber: Interesting! Why do you think it is not common in Peru?

Oscar: Maybe because it requires specific equipment and is overshadowed by more

popular sports.

Nilber: Yes, it is not so well known here.
