TAKEOFF CHECKLIST

1. Clock: verify the time shown, set DTOT


2. Weapons: set up the weapons for the sortie.
3. Avionics: enable your Targeting Pod, set up your FLIR and TACAN.
4. IFF: set up your IFF.
5. Video Recording: enable your video recording system.
6. Electronic countermeasures: set up as required.
7. Radar Altimeter: set altitude for the GPWS.
8. CANOPY CLOSED
9. SEAT ARMED
10. Flight instruments CHECK
11. APU AS DESIRED
12. ANTISKID ON
13. VREST: abort criteria CALCULATE
14. ALTIMETER RADAR
15. INS IFA
16. Approach Light ON
17. One Finger Check
- set NRAS 135 KCAS
- set Pitch Carets 14

- Stabilator Trim 2 deg DOWN
- FLAPS AUTO
- Nozzles 50 deg -> 10 deg

20. Enter active runway CENTERLINE
21. Two Finger Check
- STO STOP AFT
- Engine Page ON
- Throttle 60%
- Engine Spool 2.4 - 3.1 SEC CHECK
- Nozzles 30 deg, PSI 45 - 47 CHECK
- Nozzles 10 deg
- Left MPCD EHSD
- Right MPCD FLIR
22. Initiate Take Off
- Throttle FULL
- Top End RPM (Hexagon not fully closed) CHECK
- At 135 knots ROTATE
23. GEAR UP

CLIMB

1. At 300 KCAS, pitch up 20-35 deg


2. 300 KCAS MAINTAIN
3. At 10 000 feet MSL
- Fuel transfer CHECK
- Cabin pressure CHECK
4. At 18 000 feet MSL
- Altimeter 29.92 SET
- Cabin pressure CHECK
5. Mach speed achieved 0.75M
6. Adjust nose to maintain 0.75M
7. At 30 000 feet MSL LEVEL OFF
8. Reduce speed AoA 6.5

MAX - RANGE DESCENT

1. POWER IDLE
2. FLAPS AUTO
3. SPEED BRAKE RETRACTED
4. Pitch down KEEP 0.80M
5. At 12 000 feet MSL LEVEL OFF

ENERGY MAINTAINING TURN

1. Begin at 12 000 feet and 360 KCAS


2. FLAPS AUTO / CRUISE
3. THROTTLE FULL
4. Bank 50 deg
5. Apply pressure to maintain ALT and 360 KCAS
6. When ready, wings level.

STALL DRILL - CLEAN

1. Maintain 12 000 feet MSL


2. Flaps CRUISE
3. THROTTLE IDLE
4. Keep wings level, apply aft stick pressure
5. At 17-18 AoA / offset of wing - rock release stick pressure
6. THROTTLE FULL
7. Recover at 12 000 feet MSL

STALL DRILL - DIRTY

1. Maintain 12 000 feet MSL


2. FLAPS AUTO
3. Speed 250 KCAS
4. GEAR DOWN
5. Keep wings level, maintain speed corresponding to 10 AoA
6. Slow down to 15 units AoA, then relax the stick
5. THROTTLE FULL
6. At 10-12 units AoA GEAR UP
7. Recover 12 000 feet MSL and 360 KCAS

TACTICAL DESCENT

1. Maintain 12 000 feet MSL


2. THROTTLE 65%
3. FLAPS AUTO
4. SPEED BRAKE RETRACTED
5. Pitch down, maintain M0.8 or 350 KCAS
6. At 7 000 feet MSL LEVEL OFF

TURNS IN LANDING CONFIGURATION

1. Maintain 7 000 feet MSL


2. Slow down to 250 KCAS
3. LANDING GEAR DOWN
4. VSTOL Master Mode SELECT
5. NOZZLES 25 deg
6. FLAPS STOL
7. Practice mild level turns
8. NOZZLES 50 deg
9. Keep AoA at 10 units, practice more turns
