2. Social relations - refer to the connections that exist between people who have recurring
interactions that are perceived by the participants to have personal meaning.
3. Social Roles - refer to the behavior patterns expected of individuals in different situations and
settings based on their specific position within a social unit. These roles come with rights,
responsibilities, expectations, and social norms.
4.Social Status - refers to the honor or prestige attached to one’s position in society. It may also
refer to a rank or position that an individual holds in a group, such as son or daughter, playmate,
pupil, etc.

5. Social Norms and Values - Social norms are rules to which individuals must confirm to and
behave according to those rules whereas values are concepts which individuals believe are
important to them and determine their behaviour based on those values.
6.Social Process - is a change that is consistent within a society over time. Social processes are
characterized by social interactions, which are social exchanges that occur between individuals
and groups in society.
7. Family - is a group of two or more persons related by birth, marriage, or adoption who live
together; all such related persons are considered as members of one family.
