PUBLIC HOLIDAYS DECLARED FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF

THE 10TH PRIME MINISTER OF MALAYSIA & JOHOR STATE HOLIDAY

Dear CHIEFs,

In accordance with the recent announcement of the Government for Public Holidays, we will observe
as below

1. Appointment of the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia

PUBLIC HOLIDAY DECLARED
FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF
THE 10TH PRIME MINISTER
OF MALAYSIA
(FOR ALL STAFF)
The newly elected Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has
announced a special public holiday on 28 November 2022
(Monday) pursuant to Section 8 of the Holidays Act 1951 to
celebrate his party’s victory in conjunction with the formation of
a Unity Government and his appointment as the 10th Prime
Minister of Malaysia.

It will be a non-working day for all employees. However,

employees on shift basis who are required to work due to
operational requirements are advised of the following:

28 Nov 2022 ▪ Public holiday rate for OT
(Monday) ▪ Replacement off day (if not eligible for
OT) to be utilised by 28 February 2023
2. Johor State Holiday

JOHOR STATE PUBLIC The State of Johor has announced a state public holiday on 27
HOLIDAY DECLARED FOR
November 2022 (Sunday) and this is in conjunction with JDT
THE SUCCESS OF JDT
ENTERING THE FINAL OF advancing to the 2022 Malaysia Cup final on 26 November 2022
THE MALAYSIA CUP (Saturday).
(FOR JOHOR STAFF ONLY)

A replacement leave will be granted to employees in Johor.

Employees are required to apply for the replacement leave via
the Oracle system and the leave is to be utilised by 27 February
2023. However, employees on shift basis who are required to
work due to operational requirements are advised of the
following:
