SUBJECT: Request For Payment Of House Job Stipend According to the Revision of Pay
Scales w.e.f 01-07-2022

Respected Sir,

It is submitted that we, the House Officers (BDS), joined Dental Hospital of LM&DC after qualifying the BDS Degree
Program from Lahore Medical & Dental College, Lahore w.e. 16-09-2022.
We were paid a salary of Rs. 58,065 for the months of September and October (16-09-2022 to 20-10-2022).

Prior to the revision of Pay Scales, 2017, the house officers were being paid Rs.45,070 until 30-06-2022 by all the
public and private medical colleges.

Now, the Secretary Primary & Secondary Health Care Department, Punjab on the approval of the Government of the
Punjab, Finance Deptt. has increased the stipend to Rs. 67,605 for House Job Officers working in various
institutions of specialized HealthCare and Medical Education Department upon revision of Pay Scales, 2022.

Since the August Supreme Court of Pakistan Vide Judgerent dated 09-11-2021 in C.A No 540, 541, & 542/2021
regarding the payment of stipend to the House Job Officers of Public. & private colleges, has ordered that private
colleges "shall pay a stipend not being less than the amount applicable to the Public Colleges and this has already
been being implicated".It is therefore requested that following the revision of Pay scales, 2022 our stipend may very
kindly be increased to Rs. 67,605 w.e.f 01-07-2022, and arrears of stipend for the months of September and
October 2022 due to us may also kindly be paid.

The details of the arrears are as under:

● October 2022:
Working days: 25 (16 September to 20 October, 2022)
Amount given for 25 days: Rs.58,065/- (Rs.2322 per working day)
Calculated amount for 25 days as per new pay scale: Rs 80,482 (Rs.3219 per working day)
Amount due for 25 working days: Rs. 22,417
