4000 live births in a year, in same year in women in 15 to 35 years group = 400,000 and in 35 to 45 years age group = 100,000
A) GFR is a refined measure as it only includes women who are in their reproductive, compared to Crude Birth Rate (CBR) which includes all population (i.e. men and women of all ages)
Number of live births = 4000
Number of women age 15 – 49 yrs = 400,000 + 100,000 = 500,000 GFR = (No of live births /No of women age 15 - 49 yrs) *1000 = (4000/500000) *1000 = 8%
