DEMYSTIFYING ACTION RESEARCH

(Kimberly Ann C. Mamorno)

Speaker: Ricky C. Montaño

1.What are the key concepts that you have learned in this session?
The key concepts include a better understanding, participation, improve-
ment, reform, problem finding, problem solving, a step-by-step process,
modification, and theory building.

2.How can you integrate this in teaching and in the field of education?
I will be sharing making good research questions to my students.

Action research focuses on solving specific classroom or school problems,

improving practice, and helping to make decisions at a local site. This encourages
teachers to examine the dynamics of their classroom and challenge existing
practices.

3.Make a summary of the session either in paragraph or bullet form.

Demystifying action research and integrating it into teaching and education
can have significant benefits for both teachers and students . Action research
enables teachers to address real – world problems in their classrooms, improve
their teaching practices, promote student learning outcomes. By integrating action
research into teacher professional development programs, teacher education
programs, school-wide improvements efforts, and a culture of continuous
improvement educators can work together to create meaningful and sustainable
change in education.
