Dear Sir/Madam,
My Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) Statement
My circumstances in The Philippines
I, Althea J. Guzman, my circumstances in the Philippines are that I am a second year student
taking up Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I am also attended seminars and other activities related
to my course. However, my heart and dedication is into wanting to give care to those aged
people. As a family oriented individual here in the Philippines, my parents taught me how to help
others especially elderly. My family supported me all the way with my studies, they provided me
everything that I will be needing for my application in studying abroad. So, I decided to pursue
my willingness to help elders with the proper course and that leads me to apply for an aged care
studies in Australia.

My reasons for undertaking Certificate IV in Aged Care Support

Relevance of the course to my future and its value

Currently, I am studying Bachelor of Science in Nursing here in the Philippines but my

willingness to help elderly pushed me to study as an Aged Care support Certificate IV. And
since, that course is not available here in the Philippines so I decided to apply there in Australia.
I know, Australia education system is one of best in the world. I want to study in Australia not
only for its world-class education services, but also to improve my abilities to help those people
with disabilities and elderly by being an aged care support. I also believe that studying aged care
in Australia benefits me because the quality of education that will be given to me will be great,
and Australia is known in providing one of the best education when it comes to aged care.

Why I choose ALACC Health College

I have been researching different aged care programs and I am particularly impressed by the
reputation of one of the prestigious school and pursue a bachelor's degree at ALACC Health
College, Australia. ALACC is committed to providing flexible and innovative education and
training and maintain cultural sensitivity. I am excited about the opportunity to learn from some
of the best professionals in the field and to gain valuable hands-on experience. As I learned more
about these field and gaining more experiences through my study, I believe that I will be of good
help to my country once I finished and gained my degree. With that, after I finish my degree in
Australia, I will go back to the Philippines to apply the knowledge that I’ve gained in treating the
elderly there.
Why I choose studying in Australia and not in the Philippines.
As what I have mentioned earlier, Australia is one of the leading and popular destination for
international students who want to pursue quality education and explore a diverse culture and
landscape. Although Philippines also have that kind of education, but the course that I wanted to
pursue is in Australia. I have always had a passion for helping others, and this led me to pursue a
career in aged care. I am eager to start my journey and help older people and person with
disabilities in the future.

My immigration history in Australia

I have never travelled to any country before because I did not have a need to travel to. This was
my first time applying for a student visa for my willingness to study abroad. Having a student
visa is also being compliant with my visa conditions and returned to my home country before my
visa expiry date. My family is in the Philippines, so there’s no need for me to stay in Australia
except for my studies. Therefore, I do not have any records regarding to a visa non-compliance
in Australia and also not related to any illegal immigration activities and malpractices that may
lead to the refusal of my application. My integrity and my will to finish my degree in Australia is
my most priority and after my studies go back to the Philippines and hopefully apply the
knowledge that I gained to my fellow Filipino. I humbly ask for the approval of my student visa
application and have the opportunity to travel to Australia to complete my study.

Sincerely Yours,
Althea J. Guzman
