INTRODUCTION

My name is, male; born on the 1OTH JUNE 2001, into the family of MR&MRS MIKE OKORIE
native of OFOROLA. OWERRI WEST Local Government Area of IMO State, Nigeria and I am
the Second Son of my parents as well as the Second child in the family of 5. Mention about your
primary education to University level with dates attended, and qualifications you obtained, your
activities after school till date (Canada don’t accept gap without any tangible reason). Your marital
status etc.

PURPOSE OF VISIT

Am applying for Temporary Resident Permit (Student’s Visa) to enable me study at Federal
Polytechnic Owerri. I have been granted admission to study Petroleum Engineering which is
scheduled to start by August 2023 to August 2027.

WHY CANADA OVER NIGERIA

Studying in Canada over Nigeria has been made well known to me to be way versatile in terms
of varieties of courses which are available for students to study.
This is because in Canada, the programs available, enables me take different courses at the same time,
and when one career doesn’t work, I will gladly have other career options available to goon with.
When I am done with my courses in Canada, there will be a very high tendency of getting employed, as
soon as I am a graduate of a particular course.
This is the best terms of Internship and Employment.

WHY CARLETON UNIVERSITY

I took my time to go through and read about most of the Universities in Canada, I came to
realize that CARLETON University is probably the best.
When it comes in the location where the school is located, I read and found out that the area is one of
the safest place to be in. and also in terms of residency; it appears to me to become a very nice liveable
area.
I also came to realize that Carleton University has quality and world class professors, who takes their
student to another level of wild Education, and these professors allows students to hold live practical’s
with them to help improve student skills.
Carleton University also permits students to take as much courses he/she can accommodate in an
academic session, in courses like chemistry for chemistry and I can also take fundamental applied
physics at the same time.
WHY NEURO SCIENCE AND MENTAL HEALTH
I chose to study neuroscience because it helps to know how things typically work in human brain and
knowing the remedy to the problems and provide an available are.
Neuroscience affects many human functions, but to also contributes to a better understanding of a wide
range of common conditions, like down syndrome, Ausoisoic Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Addition,
Sclmzphrenza, brain Tumors, Parkision disease and immune systems disorder.
Knowing how the brain functions and how to malfunction triggers my passion for studying about
mental health because it will help my knowledge grow in terms of Science and Technically-know-how.

MY PLANS AFTER MY VISIT

My plans after my visit is to come back to Nigeria to establish myself based after acquiring the
certification so I can work and educate my country at large

I will be glad if given the opportunity to study at Carleton University in order to upgrade my
academic career.
