Abstract: This qualitative research aims to investigate the effects of advanced subjects
on Grade 9 students specializing in Science, Technology, and Engineering (STE) at
Malandag National High School. With the increasing emphasis on STEM education,
understanding how advanced subjects influence students' learning experiences and
academic performance is crucial. This study employs qualitative methods, including
interviews and observations, to delve into students' perceptions, attitudes, and
experiences regarding advanced subjects. By exploring these factors, this research seeks
to provide insights that can inform educational policies and practices aimed at
optimizing the STE curriculum for Grade 9 students.
