Substitute the initial values, y (0) = 1.8, y ' (0) = 5.0 into the above equations of
general solution and its derivative.
y(0) = A cos 0 + B sin 0 + 3  0 cos 0 = A = 1.8
y' (0) = −2 A sin 0 + 2 B cos 0 + 3 cos 0 − 6  0 sin 0 = 2 B + 3 = 5.0
A = 1.8, B = 1 are obtained.
