conveys meaning through a combination of written language, still image, and spatial design.

Linguistic/ Textual-It compromise aspects, such as vocabulary, generic structure, and the
grammar of oral and written language.
Visual- This mode emphasizes what an audience can see such as videos, images, colors.
Audio- A volume, pitch and rhythm of music and sound effects.
Gestural- It relates to movements, especially when these express ideas or feelings
Spatial- It is about the physical arrangement, organization and proximity of the text.

Prepared- The speaker is expected to discuss the chosen topic intelligently, with a degree of

Impromptu- Impromptu speeches are given with minimal preparation ahead of time and are
best utilized in informal environments.

ARGUMENTATION- Expressing opinions or claims about an issue.

1. Claim- It is the statement that the arguer is trying to prove or persuade others to accept.
2. Evidence- It has a supporting information, data, or examples that are presented to justify or
validate the claim.
3. Counterclaim- An alternative viewpoints that oppose the main claim.
4. Rebuttal- A rebuttal involves presenting counterarguments, evidence, or reasoning to
challenge and undermine the validity or persuasiveness of an opponent's claims or positions.

manner.
3. Persuasive Essay- It is one in which you attempt to get the reader to agree with your point of
view.

to help the writer improve their work by pointing out strengths and weaknesses and suggesting
