Answer: Working in extension activities was like being part of a cozy family. Every day, I

greeted familiar faces and welcomed new ones with a smile. Stocking shelves and

arranging displays became second nature, transforming the space into a welcoming

haven for shoppers. As conversations flowed, bonds formed with regulars, sharing stories

and laughter over the counter. From handling transactions to offering recommendations,

each interaction was an opportunity to brighten someone's day. Even during busy rushes,

there was a sense of warmth and community that made the work fulfilling. In that quaint

shop, I discovered the simple joys of connection and service.

Answer: FOOD WASTAGE IN OUR SOCIETY

Food wastage is a big problem in our society. It happens when we throw away food that could
still be eaten. This is bad for our economy and also for the environment and the people who
don't have enough to eat. Luckily, there are simple things we can do to reduce food waste.

Firstly, we can plan our meals better. This means making a shopping list and only buying what
we need. Sometimes we buy too much food, and it ends up going bad before we can eat it. By
planning ahead, we can avoid this problem.

Secondly, we should store our food properly. This means keeping perishable items like fruits
and vegetables in the fridge to make them last longer. And when we have leftovers, we can
store them in airtight containers and eat them later instead of throwing them away.

Another way to reduce food waste is to be creative with leftovers. Instead of throwing them
out, we can use them to make new meals. For example, leftover vegetables can be added to
soups or stir-fries, and stale bread can be turned into croutons or breadcrumbs.

I suggest that we should do something regarding this issue. Many places collect surplus food
from restaurants and supermarkets and distribute it to people in need. By donating to or
volunteering with these organizations, we can help ensure that edible food doesn’t end up in
the trash
