NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 21st July, 2016

Sub: Amendment in Para 9.2.5 of the Unified Building Bye-Laws (UBBL) for Delhi 2016
S.O. 2479(E).— In exercise of powers conferred by Section 57 of Delhi Development Act, 1957 (61 of 1957),
the Delhi Development Authority, with the prior approval of the Central Government, hereby make the following
amendments/modification in terms of Para 9.2.5 of the Unified Building Bye-Laws (UBBL) for Delhi 2016.
AMENDMENTS
Existing Provisions Amendment
“9.2.5 Control of Signs (Hoardings) and Outdoor Display Structures “9.2.5 Control of Signs (Hoardings) and
including Telephone Towers. Outdoor Display Structures.

Following provisions shall apply for telecommunication infrastructure:
a. No advertising signs (including hoarding) on buildings or on land shall
be displayed without the prior approval of the Authority/concerned local
body. The standards specified in part X Signs and outdoor display
structures of National Building Code of India as amendments time to
time shall be applicable.
b. No signage/communication tower and advertisement is to be provided
in residential buildings.”
No advertising signs (including hoarding) on

standards specified in National Building
Code of India as amended from time to time
shall be applicable.
