風 に 乗る わが心 Kaze ni noru waga kokoro Riding on the wind, my heart

はつ 夏 の 窓 を 越 ゆ hatsu natsu no mado o koshi yu passes through the summer window,
青空 の 藍 に 染み aozora no ai ni shimi is dyed with the indigo of the blue sky and
雛菊 の 黄 に まみれ hinagiku no ki ni mamire is covered with the yellow of chrysanthemums.

窓かけ を うち ゆすり madokake o uchi yusuri Rolling, dancing in,

ほつれ髪 みだし つつ hotsuregami midashi tsutsu making the curtains billow out,
ころげ 込み お どり 入り koroge komi o dori iri ruffling my hair,
くぐりぬけ 飛び 過ぎ て kugurinuke tobi sugi te it passes through, soars by
かがやか に 歌い つつ kagayaka ni utai tsutsu as I brightly sing.
