 You should practice and record your
speech.
Practice makes perfect. Everything
may feel exciting to think you can
wing it on the day of your
presentation or speech, but don't fool
yourself. The fact is that you must put
in as much practice time as possible.
 Be confident but don’t be too much
complacent.

Flashy visuals aren't everything, but
they can help you engage your
audience more effectively (and take a
little attention away from yourself).

Types of Public Speaking
 Ceremonial Speaking
 Personal Touch - While delivering
a ceremonial speech, you should
personalize it. This entails telling a
tale or a story that your audience
can be related example yung sa
graduation speech about sa mga
paghihirap mo before as a
student, sa magulang/
paghihirap ng magulang.
 Occasion focused - A ceremonial
speech should be tailored to the
occasion. This is not the time to
discuss anything other than the
person or thing being honored.
 So In ceremonial speech for
example graduation speech hindi
pwedeng ikinwento mo na yung
istorya maging ng mga kanu-
nuan ninyo.
 Brevity – or KAIKLIAN/ SHORT OF
TIME - If you dislike getting up in
front of a crowd and speaking,
ceremonial speaking may be the
best option for you. This is due to
the fact that ceremonial speaking
is frequently short.
 Demonstrative Speaking –
meaning there is a demonstration
of how to do the thing/s that you
are teaching.
 Strong communication skills are
key to being able to explain how
to do something to someone else.
 Informative Speaking - talking
about people, events, processes,
places, or things like you are
lecturing something. It’s like
there’s a goal or purpose of
imparting a knowledge to your
audience.
 Informative speaking occurs
frequently in the form of a
meeting, and being able to lead

 Facilitate Conversations - The
ability to facilitate a constructive
conversation will set you apart
and aid in the development of
your authority.
 Build Credibility - Most
individuals dislike attending
meetings. They consider it a
waste of time. You will get
credibility if you can hold a
fruitful meeting.
