I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson students are expected to:
a. Define Organic Fermented Fruit Juice
b. Value the importance of making Organic Fermented Fruit Juice in the community.
c. Demonstrate how to make Fermented Fruit Juice.

breakdown of a substance by bacteria, yeasts,
sugar or other microorganisms.

we can make an Organic Foliar fertilizer
using ripe fruits and fruit vegetables with
crude sugar or molasses through fermentation
process.

Our lesson for today is about making Organic

fertilizer that nourish soil and crops growing
in it.
Very good! because fermented fruit juice has
an activation enzyme that helps nourish
plants and animals.

Ma’am! fermented fruit juice is an organic
fertilizer made from sweet ripe fruits, fruit
vegetables and root crops.
Very good! We need to used fruits that are
sweet when ripe because it is the enzyme
needs in the composition of fermented fruit
juice. Avoid using citrus fruits because it is
not recommended in making fermented fruit
juice because of it high citric acid content.

Reminder class as much as possible used an


overripe fruits because it lessen the
fermentation period and necessary
microorganism like molds are already present
in them.

the ingredients so that we balance the kilo of
molasses and banana fruit.

it will be properly soak on the molasses and
to add weigh on the surface we add 5 pieces
of stones with 25-50 grams in weigh.

to allow air to get inside the pail and for the
gas that is being produced during
fermentation to escape and the purpose
rubber band is to tie the manila paper.

tape for the labeling of our product and
strainer for separating the liquid from solid
after fermentation.

Fermented fruit juice.

Yes! Mr/Ms __________ 1. Collect ripe fruits or fruit vegetables that


are already available or in season.

Thank you! Use fruits that are free from


insect pests and diseases. Also if the fruits is
newly harvested no need to wash it as long as
it is clean and free from insect and dirt.

Thank you! chop banana into inch size also


add banana filling in the mixture because it
add nutrients to our fermentation proces.

1 kg crude sugar or molasses, and then mix
thoroughly with wooden ladle.

materials are coated with sugar or molasses
so that the juice can be extracted easily.”

pieces of stones to compress the mixture.

weigh down the mixture.

container.

excess molasses that stick on the side of
container to prevent contamination during
fermentation period.

and secure with a string or rubber band. On
the cover, write the date of processing and
the expected date of harvest.

allow some air to get inside the pot or pail
and for the gas that is being produced during
the fermentation process to escape.”

juice mixture for 7-10 days in a cool dry
shady place.

during fermentation period to prevent cross
contamination.

the fermented fruit juice. Use strainer to
separate the fruits and juices and preserve in
container or plastic bottle for further
fermentation.

Thank you!, atleast twice a week open the lid


of the container to allow the gas to escape
during further fermentation to avoid sticky
explosion. Its now ready to use for plant
fertilizer just add 2 tbs of Fermented fruit
juice in every 1 liter of water. Same dosage
for animal drinks.
