Clear 10-10. Shrieking Hall in Episode 1 to Unlock the Specialty Change Interface. All Specialty Changes have a set of missions to complete to make the 3 star units strongers than before.
To unlock those missions, your 3* Unit has to be at least level 30. Some heroes have an additonal requirement, such as Ras' Specialty Change, who needs Episode 2, 10-10 Twisted Core to be completed. Moriyaism#4562
Adin's Specialty Change is a special one which gets unlocked as you progress thorugh Episode 4.
Heroes who undergo a Specialty Change will have changes in their illustration, skills, and skill animations.
Also, their skills and stats can be enhanced further via the Skill Tree. This requires 410 Greater Runes and 40 Epic Runes of their corresponding Element.

CRAZY PRO TIP GAME DEVS DONT WANT YOU TO KNOW. As You may know, some of the tutorials have been reset, giving you the rewards again.
One of them is the Specialty Change one, and the reward is nothing but 100 Greater Runes of your choice!!!.
To get them you just need to go to Skill Tree page of a unit (doesn't need to be +30) and you will get 100 Greater Runes of that unit's element.
Recommended for New Players: Angelic Montmorancy to speed up the Skill Tree Process
One of the best cleansers in the game, whose base form is given in connections. Her S2 can reset to
maintain cleanse uptime. Can give Immunity for two turns which can be soulburned to provide immunity
Angelic Montmorancy Soul Weaver Ice
to all allies. Fast cooldowns and incredibly fast turn cycling make her very useful in almost all PvE
content.
The Best SC in the game, bar none. S3 provides Defense buff to all allies and heals himself. S2 def
breaks an enemy, and dual attacks with the highest atk ally. Provides two immunity for both Ras and the
Ally. Can be soul burned to spam it every turn. S1 strips one buff while increasing CR. He also has a
Adventurer Ras Knight Fire
Skill Tree rune that gives the back ally a massive barrier if they take 30% of their HP in one hit (only
once per fight). Provides large amount of both offensive and defensive utility. The only reason he is not
at the top is because of the time it takes to reach EP 2-10-10.
Consistent, high damage output Single Target DPS with slight built-in survivability. Defense and Attack
ramp up in her passive when she attacks, making her better for drawn out battles, such as Abyss and
Commander Lorina Warrior Dark Labyrinths. S1 has 25% self CR push, which makes her viable for Fire (Brutal Pherus) expeditions. Her
HP Scaling Damage on S1 and bonus damage to Elites/Bosses on S3 makes her one of the best dps
for PVE content and can be slot into Oneshot teams for Hunts.
The Protagonist of EP4. Adin requires no catalysts for skill enhance, and no runes for her Skill Trees,
but you'll need to grind out her missions in Episode 4. Verdant Adin (Earth) is recommended for PvE
and Savior Adin (Light) is recommended for PvP. Fire and Ice can be ignored.
Verdant Adin provides Def Break, Unbuffable, Spd Down, and her unique buff that increases damage
Adin Thief Earth, Fire, Ice, Light against Boss or Elite mobs. This makes her great for Light Expedition, Banshee 13 One Shot, and
Challenge Abyss. She is built as a DPS with enough Eff for whatever you're doing.
Savior Adin is an Evasion unit with massive amount of damage, further increased against Dark units,
and an AoE counterattack after evading (2 turn cooldown). She built either as a pure DPS or with a little
bit of bulk.
Best mitigation Knight in the game due to her Escort buff. She also provides a barrier turn 1 and some
Attack for any Light heroes as well. Her S3 is strong for shutting down any slower units that get cut by
her turn 1 (unless you get 15%d of course). S1 and S3 give her a ton of strip potential overall and the
Unbound Knight Arowell Knight Light Eff buff rune can let her coinlfip some lower EffRes heroes.
She's generally a PvP only unit, but if you ever need a knight with a ton of strip (like in Nightmare Raid
Queen) she should be solid.
You get a 3* Kluri after completing the Specialty Change Tutorial and she can be the first SC to start
alongside Montmorancy. A Knight that can full dispell all buffs from a target, provoke and def break
them for two turns. This skill can be soulburned to ignore Effect Resistance, making her a threat to
Falconer Kluri Knight Earth enemies with high Effect Resistance. Extremely fast self-cycling, with self CR pushes that can allow her
to cycle multiple turns before someone else gets to move. S2 passive heals her by a significant portion
of her maximum HP every turn, and gives a slight team heal as well, making her a good sub-healer and
very difficult to kill.
Arguably the best light bait in the game for attacking in Arena and Guild Wars. Near 100% uptime on
Magic Scholar Doris Soul Weaver Light Defense buff and Continuous Heal if S2 is soulburned, and S3 cleanses 2 debuffs, heal, and increases
CR by 50%. Very good teamwide defensive utility, and incredibly hard to kill.
Primarily used as an anti counter/extra/dual attack defensive knight. She provides a lot of damage
mitigation for the team against counter/extra/dual attacks making her a solid pick into units reliant on
Shadow Knight Pyllis Knight Dark those mechanics. She also brings a small barrier, 1 debuff cleanse, Def buff, provoke, strip and some
CR push. She has some anti-evasion tools as well, with increased Hit Chance on her skills allowing her
to strip and provoke evasion units.
Fairly useful Speed Imprint hero that functions as an offensive support/subDPS. Moderate damage
output, and valuable Attack Buff that can be used to help her team deal more damage. S1 and S2 both
have a moderate chance of inflicting Decreased Defense, and she can be built with 50% Critical Hit
Mercenary Helga Warrior Earth
Chance, since she's granted an Increased Critical Hit Chance buff if she remains over 70% HP. S2
extends buffs granted to her, allowing her to be used for fun in immortality meme comps with Shooting
Star Achates. However, she can't be granted Increased Critical Hit Chance if you do this.
A good offensive buffer with some healing, but only usable with other Fire units. She gives free Atk+Eff,
gains extra healing+cleansing, and can grant one unit Increased Attack (Greater) so long as the units
Mascot Hazel Soul Weaver Fire are Fire. This limits her usage a bit, but also makes her insanely strong anywhere that requires you to
bring all Fire units. She is used in Earth Expedition and Secretary Vera Nightmare Cycle. Not viable in
PvP.
Carmainerose's kit has buff removal, unbuffable, decrease speed, self effectiveness buff, def buff and
Zealot Carmainerose Mage Fire atk buff, making her one of the best DPS for Light Expedition. She can use Kal'adra for more damage or
Bloody Rose for healing.
Ainos 2.0 Soul Weaver Dark Solid Atk buffer for Aggro in RTA
Mostly used for fighting Devourer Arahakan in Nightmare Cycle these days. She can still be a solid late
pick in RTA if you need AoE reach or just a Fire bruiser. She inflicts a ton of Burns and can detonate
them as well. She also has a bunch of defensive utility to help her stay alive.
Researcher Carrot Mage Fire
Since most of her damage is coming from Burns, you can ignore CritC and CritD, focusing on just Atk,
Def, HP, and Spd. Eff as well if you're using her for PvE. Etica's or Tagahel's are solid artis for her.
Used in later Wyvern setups. Still bad for the early game Muwi clear and doesn't replace any units until
Summer's Disciple Alexa Theif Ice you get better gear and use a different setup. If you're already using her, then her SC improves her
damage alot and can save you time.
Can be used in A13 and C13 for his dispel and defense break. Pairs fairly well with Tamarinne in those
cases because of his speed buff and cooldown reduction skill. However is his also somewhat limiting in
Captain Rikoris Warrior Light
A13 since he alone brings 2 debuffs and 1 buff so there is a risk of activating the bosses extra turn if
your team has more than 2 buffs or debuffs. Not good in PvP.
Extinction unit with lots of free stats. He has 20% hit chance when using S2 so he will hit through
Moonlight Dreamblade, and gains CritC as well as Greater Atk buff from S3. He gains bonus damage
Vigilante Leader Glenn Ranger Earth
against Ice units so he can be a good nuker for those as well. His cooldowns are a bit long and he has
no survival tools in his kit however.
The anti evasion unit. Has Increased hit chance on her skills and buff reduction with a two turn stun.
All Rounder Wanda Ranger Dark This makes her a decent unit in offense arena and GWs, though there are other ways of dealing with
evasion units.
Ignore the class; Rather than being a tank, Chaos Inquisitor is an anti-buff DPS. His passive caps
damage he can receive to 35% of his maximum HP. This effect also stacks with barriers and damage
sharing, allowing him to be built with very low hp and still be difficult to kill. However, he's vulnerable to

debuff control teams and getting hit repeatedly by fast enemies. Skill Tree HP increase rune should not
be enhanced, as he benefits more from low HP, to make use of his passive, barriers, and Lifesteal Set.

Cooldowns of allies and increase their combat readiness, which helps in Fire Expedition
Chaos Sect Axe Warrior Dark Budget Light unit counter in PVP due to conditional Defense Penetration
Doll Maker Pearlhorizon Mage Earth Very budget SBAra/ATywin. Can Sleep units and Deal damage proportional to max HP
Shepherd Jena Mage Ice Some cleave opener but there's better ones so not rly a prio, and def not for early/mid game
Replaced by Lilka in Ice Expedition since she has better skills for that content, doesn't cost 30 Powder
to unlock, and doesn't need to fill out a Skill Tree. Due to the powder cost, I wouldn't recommend
Righteous Thief Roozid Thief Earth completing his SC at all. If you have him built already then you can use him in Ice Exped.
He has Atk Down, Spd Down, CR push, and Spd buff. Built Spd with Eff then either bulk or dmg stats.

Niche/For Fun/Not Really Recommended Units are not recommended to be invested into as New-Mid Game Players as they are not helpful or useful for content
Certain Specialty Change missions have overlapping requirements, letting you complete them together and save a lot of time.
Switching out an SC will maintain the progress; you can put it back in later whenever you want. Made by mori :)
I'll list out the missions that you can complete together below.
Short Term Missions
Carrot (Clear Spirit Altar 150 times)
Ras (Acquire 200 Greater Runes)

Kluri (Acquire 50 Greater Runes)
Pearlhorizon (Acquire 200 Greater Runes)
You can clear their missions by farming the Hell difficulty in Spirit Altar. I'd start with Carrot and Ras together first, then put in FKluri after one of the two finishes their mission.
Arowell (Defeat 100 Order of the Shield soldiers in South Wetheric Moor with Arowell on the team)
UH19 Carmainerose (Eliminate 250 Monsters from Sacred Kingdom)
Butcher Corps Inquisitor (Eliminate 250 Monsters from Sacred Kingdom)
These missions can be cleared at Unrecorded History stage 19. Arowell and Carmainerose are more important units, so I'd put them in together first.
Butcher Corps Inquisitor (Eliminate 25 enemies in the Rose Apostles Meeting Hall)
Area 3 Pearlhorizon (Eliminate 20 Rose Apostle Priests)
Tirel Castle The Rose Apostle Meeting Hall is Area 3 in the Tirel Castle Labyrinth. Unsurprisingly, you can find Rose Apostle Priests in here.
Labyrinth You won't be able to get all 20 priest kills in a single run (only about 10 spawn), but you can get some solid progress on the mission still.
They only spawn in the upper area with the gold background, not the sewers.
