To: Research Ethics Committee, University of the Cordilleras

Dear Sir/Ma’am

Greetings of Peace and Prosperity

We, the 3rd year students of Bachelor of Science in Nursing – Section B group B, are
writing to request for ethics review of our research entitled: UNEARTHING THE
PHENOMENOLOGY OF MINERS HEALTH: A VOYAGE THROUGH A DESCRIPTIVE
APPROACH.

This study contributes significantly to the understanding of miners' health,

emphasizing the subjective experiences of small-scale miners in Itogon,
Benguet. Through qualitative exploration, the research offers nuanced insights
into the impact of occupational exposures on miners' well-being, bridging gaps
in traditional biomedical perspectives. By addressing the subjective dimensions
and social determinants of health, the study provides a valuable foundation for
targeted interventions and policy considerations, aiming to improve the overall
health outcomes and quality of life for miners.

We understand that conducting research with human participants comes

responsibilities, and we are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all
participants. To this end, we plan to take the following measures:
 All participants will be provided with clear information about the study
and will ask to provide informed consent before taking part.
 All data collected will remain confidential and will be stored securely.
 Participants will have the right to withdraw from the study at any time.

We understand that the ethical conduct of our research is of utmost importance,

and we seek your guidance in ensuring that our research is conducted with the
utmost respect for the rights and dignity of our participants. We are committed to
protecting the rights of our participants, and we will ensure that our research is
conducted in full compliance with the ethical standards of our institution.

We would appreciate it if you could review our research protocols and provide us
with your feedback. We look forward to hearing from you.
