 Tournament Rules & System of Play
#AGE Criteria – Participant must be born on or after
U- 7 - 1-1- 2017 U-15 - 1-1- 2009
U- 9 - 1-1- 2015 U-17 - 1-1- 2007
U-11 - 1-1- 2013 U-19 - 1-1- 2005
U-13 - 1-1- 2011 Open- No age limit

• AGE PROOF- Each participant must produce a valid certificate to prove

his/her age. Certificate from Schools will not be accepted. Certificate
should preferably be from the Panchayat, Municipality or Corporation
obtained soon after birth. Players without date of birth certificate will
not be allowed to participate.
• Time Control: 20 Minutes + 10 Seconds Increment per move from
move number one.
• Players can participate in multiple age categories according to their
eligible age criteria.
• The Championship will be played under FIDE Laws of Chess and the
Swiss system. Swiss Manager will be used for pairing.
• In case of tie break latest FIDE rules shall come into effect.
• A minimum of 10 participants required for separate category.
• All player will play all rounds. No Knockout
• Only for District Gurugram players.
