Introducing the Topic for Grade 9 Quarter 2—Making Connections between Texts
and Social Issues. Presenting essential information regarding this type of analysis
and elaborating on the basic part of the aforementioned lesson.
ACTIVITY
Text Analysis: Students will read two different texts related to social issues and
analyze how these texts connect to real-life concerns. They will identify common
themes, character motivations, and societal problems presented in the texts.
