Airbus Pilot Instructor Courses (APIC CBTA)

The aim of the Airbus Pilot Instructor Courses course are to develop the
Instructor competencies in order to conduct the following “Competency Based
Training and Assessment” (CBTA) integrated training program :

- Type Rating Courses

- UPRT (Upset Prevention & Recovery Training)
- Recurrent Training program
- In-flight aircraft training (LIFUS/ IOE)

It will apply in the event of :

- Issue, revalidation and renewal of the relevant Type Rating

- Multi Crew Coordination Training

At the end of the course, the Instructor Applicant should be able to manage the
learning environment: instruct, interact with the trainees, assess and evaluate.

Description

The Airbus Pilot Instructor Courses are composed of 4 modules:

- Core course: mandatory module: module applicable for all manufacturers’ aircrafts
- Instructor Type Specific: course aircraft type related

Additional modules according to qualifications required:

- Assessment of Competences: required for the issue of qualification or certification, and a consequent enrolment in FiF
qualifications
- Flight Instructor Familiarization FIF: with or without the Base Training

Available on A340 and A380 upon request

Regulatory Compliance

This Course is presently approved by EASA.

Other training approvals (FAA, CAAC (China), DGCA (India)…) are also valid depending on the training location.

Number of Trainees

- Core Course: minimum 6 to 10 trainees maximum

- Type Specific: minimum 2 trainees or even number
- Assessment of Competences, Flight Instructor Familiarization and Base Training: one trainee

Course Location

Airbus Training Center or Operator's facilities if you possess the appropriate training material/devices
