Pre-lesson:
Stand in front of class. Point to some of your clothes and elicit any that pupils
know. Write clothes in a circle on board and write the words they say. (21st CA)
Lesson development:-
1. Hold up each flashcard in turn. Say the word for pupils to repeat in chorus.
They point to the item if they or their friends are wearing it. Stick the
flashcards on the board to make a word map for clothes.
2. Pupils look at the pictures in their Student’s Book. Elicit who they can see
and where they are.(HOTS)
3. Play the recording. Pupils point to the clothes when they hear them. (CD3 02)
4. Play the recording again. Pupils repeat the clothes words. Pupils practice
pointing and naming in pairs.
5. Pupils look at the chant. Play the recording (CD3 03). Pupils listen and follow
the chant in their Student’s Books. Check understanding of new vocabulary.
6. Play the recording again, pausing after each verse for pupils to repeat. Do the
chant as a class and then in groups.
7. Pupils do worksbook page 82. (CBA)
Post-lesson:-
Say the clothes words one after another. If pupils are wearing the clothes items,
they point to them. If they are not wearing them, they shake their heads.

point at pictures. Pupils match the questions and answer with the pictures.
4. Play the next recording (CD3 05). Play the first question and answer. Pupils
repeat. Check understanding of the grammar.
5. Demonstrate the activity 3 for the class and then give practice in open pairs.
