About the Event

Economic policies are a very critical element on which the future of any developing country depends,
from generating employment, to battling a crisis. “It is all Economics” is an event designed to give the
students of SCMS-NOIDA a platform where five teams will come together and use critical thinking,
creativity and knowledge about the world to help countries solve their problems without just focusing
upon the monetary aspect of it.
The teams will be allotted a case study about an economic crisis and they will have to come up with
original and innovative strategies and ideas. The teams will be questioned by their rivals and the
audience. The participants will have to back their approach with accurate and factual data to increase their
chances of success. After all presentations are concluded, all five teams will be asked to up vote one team,
and down vote another team other than themselves. The results will be declared at the end of the event,
and all participants will be presented with E-Certificates.

Course of Event
1. The students will have to first register online. This can be either individual or in groups up to 4
members maximum.
2. For the first round they will be given a case study related to something that has already occurred.
They will have to write a 500-word article around it.
3. Teams/Individuals will be judged on the basis of quality of content, their understanding, use of
facts and accuracy of data.
4. The top 5 teams will be screened and they will proceed to the final round.
5. For the final round they will be given the problem statement few days before the main event.
They will have to present their solution within 10-11 slides.
6. Each presentation will be followed by questions put up by rival teams.
7. After all presentations have concluded, results will be announced live.
