MINITASK 1

Conduct an interview with your grandparents,

parents or other people with experience or
knowledge with the different methods of counting
on the earlydays/years..
A. HOW DO PEOPLE IDENTIFY
DAYS, CURRENCY, AND TIME
DURING THAT TIME?

Previous societies often depdens on the

environment in order to identify days. it will be
by keeping track on season or finding the angle
of the sun's direction and observing
constellations. They also come up with a method
that will tell time and help them in identify days,
weeks and also years. and as of now we are able
to use and part of our daily outings.
B. What is the
concept of counting 9
during those days? 17
Some of the oldest counting system rely on 2.3
fingers and toes so they were base on ones,
fives, tens and twenties. When it comes to
large amount, ancient people use symbols
and groups of objects represent a specific
number for example a small clay cone found
years ago resembles a one, a clay ball is
used for ten and a large clay cone is use for
0
sixty.
C. WHAT IS THE
CONCEPT OF BUY AND
SELL DURING THOSE +y i
TIMES?
x
Many ancient societies probably functioned under a
mutualist economy - you had personal items, but what

you made went into the community stockpile to be
used as needed. Barter was for gifts and for trade
between communities, hence rare luxury goods
becoming the material used for the currency.
D. What do they
compute and solve
problems on the said
time?
The common problems that they usually solves
are measuring spaces, building homes, and
keeping track of seasons but most espcially is to
develop a number system.
E. What are the
significance of those
events and concepts -4i
in Mathematics
today?
Today's Mathematics has been 5 + 3i
enriched by the contributions of
different cultures, civilizations and
mathematicians who unselfishly
passed their discoveries, ideas and
knowledge for to us apply and - π + 2i
make worth of it.
F. WHY IS IT IMPORTANT
TO KNOW THE HISTORY
OF MATHEMATICS?
As we journey to the rich and vibrant history of
mathematics we can see how ideas and creations
grew out of our very human need to solve the
problems in our everyday lives. Through time the
mathemathecal explanations of men and woman
from around the globe gave us fascinating lessons
that help us to mathemathecally view and make
sense of our worlds.
