1.0 Introduction

One of the main points of students engaging in extracurricular activities is to

uphold new skills. It helps them boost their (a) self-confidence, (b) interact socially, and
to even (c) escape from reality. Nonetheless, students fail to focus on their academic
performances due to lack of time management.
According to St. Johnsbury Academy (2024), “extracurricular activities help your
child for college and their professional future”. With the help of these skills, they come
to overcome different challenges in life, be successful and happy. Having the benefits
of: (a) Cultivates Leadership Opportunities, (b) Enhances Teamwork Experience, (c)
Develops Time Management Skills, (d) Promotes Networking Skills, (e) Fosters
Confidence, (f) Increases Academic Performance.
With extracurricular activities, it helps children in safety and supervision
especially in times where they are being unsupervised (PennState, 2024). It also offers
opportunities to be physically active and opposed to such behaviours: playing video
games, scrolling in social media, watching television. However, students with too many
activities or participating in activities they do not want, may cause negative impact.
Parents or school personnel should look for symptoms caused by overscheduling, such
as: (a) being tired, (b) anxious, (c) depressed, (d) showing loss of interest in activity.
As regards, the researchers aim to know the possible effects of extracurricular
activity to students whether positive or negative, particularly learners who engage with
this. This will help researchers to evaluate the differences of respondents’ particular
responses. Adequate data were covered within months February-May year 2024.

1.1 Objectives of the Study
