RESULT AND ANALYSIS

4.1. Research Result

The Research method that used is quantitative data where the form of the data is
presented is in the form of number.From the data that has been collected from the survey using
google form There are 7 respondents with a total of 7 people .These 5 respondents from the
survey are the subjects for this research.The profile of the respondents was observed to provide
an overview of what this research paper looks like.The respondents were categorized based on
their age and their grade

4.1.1. Respondent’s Profile

Based on Diagram 4.1,There are 2 Respondents (28,6%) From grade 10 And 5

Respondents(71,4%) From grade 9 Which means Most respondents are from grade 9

4.1.2 Based on age

 Based on Diagram 4.2 Most of the respondents are 15 Years old with a total of 5
respondents(71,4%) The rest of the respondents are 14 Year old(14,3%) and 17
years(14,3%)
4.1.3. Questionnaire Characteristics and Respondent Answers
In this research there are a total of 9 Questions that are made by using google form and
distributed via google form These are the following answers from the respondents to the
questionnaire which will be presented in diagram form.

Based on diagram 4.3 about respondents Opinion about childfree movement which is
good or not.Respondents gave a variety of answers .But most people disagree that childfree
movement is a good movement(57.1%)But the rest of the respondents agree that childfree
movement is a good movement(42,9%)

Based on diagram 4.4 ,Respondents gave 3 answers.5 Respondents Think that childfree
movement can reduce living cost (71.4%).Also 1 Respondents strongly agree that childfree
movement can also reduce living cost(14.3%) but another respondent thinks that childfree
movement can’t reduce the living cost

Diagram 4.5 Respondents answer about Childfree had an impact on reproductive system

Based on diagram 4.5 Respondents gave 2 different answers Some of them agree
and disagree about how childfree movement can affect men’s reproductive system . There are 5
Respondents who agree that the childfree movement had an impact on the men's reproductive
system(71,4%).There are 2 respondents who didn't agree that the childfree movement had an
impact on men’s reproductive system(28.6%).Which means that mostly respondents think that
childfree movement had an impact on men’s reproductive system .

Based on Diagram 4,6 7 Respondents gave 2 answers about childfree is influenced by

ethnic background or oneself.A total of 4 respondents agree about childfree is influenced by
ethnic background(57.1%) but the rest respondents disagree(42.9%) This means that respondents
think that this movement is influenced by ethnic background of oneself

 Based on diagram 4.7 About Childfree can make couples focus on their career
.Respondents gave 2 answers and all of the respondents agree about that with childfree
movement it can make the couples focus on their career.6 Respondents agree(85.7%) and 1
respondent strongly agree about this statement.

Based on the image above Respondents give various answer about childfree is good or
not.Most of the respondents say that childfree is not a good movement because of no new
generation,Not helpful in the economic growth and Our readiness for having a children.But also
some respondents Think this movement is a good movement so there is no overpopulation
because this earth is already overpopulated
4.2Analysis

From the total of 7 respondents In diagram 4.4 there are total 5 respondents(71.4%) Agree And 1
respondent(14.3%) Strongly agree that childfree movement can help reduce living cost .This is in
accordance with the theory in chapter 2 that explains about the cause of couple’s choosing to be childfree
is one of them is Economic factors which means that the couple who choose to be childfree thinks that the
cost of raising children is expensive.But when they become childfree the cost of their life is very cheap
which can help to reduce living cost .
In diagram 4.3 There are 4 respondents(57.1%) disagree and 3 respondents(42.9%)Agree
that childfree is a good movement .But in some reasons childfree is not a good movement,From
the last question in the survey,Many respondents say that childfree is not a good movement
because of no new generation,Also the theory in chapter 2 said that childfree makes our
loneliness feeling increase,decreasing the population growth and many more.But otherwise
childfree movement is also good for the future,From the respondents in my survey many people
said the because there are no overpopulation ,and also the theory in chapter 2 that childfree make
the couple did not contribute to the human population growth ,And also the couple can focus on
each other and many more
In Diagram 4.5 All of the respondents agree that the childfree movement can reduce the
living cost,This is also accordance with the theory in chapter 2 which also the cause of couples
choosing to be childfree is because of the high cost of raising children ,if the cost of raising
children is high means that it increase a lot of living cost
Globalization also plays a role in this child-free movement. It is proof in my survey that
most of the respondents got information about childlessness from social media (Instagram,
TikTok, etc.) and from teachers and friends. This is also related to the theory in Chapter 2 about
the type of globalization and the type of globalization involved in this phenomenon based on
scope, specifically big changes,Which Influence the childfree movement across the globe.
 Pancasila also Correlates to the child-free movement. However, the childfree movement
opposes the first principle of Pancasila, which reads “Ketuhanan yang maha esa, which means
that Indonesia is a religious society and we have to follow God’s teaching. One of the teachings
of Christianity is that we are encouraged to have children, but if we choose to be childless, we
are going against that teaching.

CLOSING

5.1 Conclusion
` It can be concluded that childfree movement is one of the trending movement due to the
globalization,With globalization it makes childfree movement become more popular among
young people.A survey has conducted to the students in francis school and many students think
that the childfree is a good movement because of it can reduce overpopulation and living cost
and some also think that childfree is a bad movement because of it can reduce young generation
and the couple’s readiness for having children

5.2. Suggestion or Recommendation

This research already followed the research procedures ,However the researcher had
many challenges such as incompatible research agendas and difficulty in getting respondents for
the survey,Because of the research agenda is not suitable .For the next research the agenda must
be appropriate to get a lot of respondents .Also in addition to the difficulty of obtaining
respondents.Finding an accurate source is one of the information presented is quite a lot and not
necessarily a lot of information.It is better that these sources are processed to be accurate
