This document is an accomplishment report of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants
from CARD-MRI Development Institute, Inc. - Bay Campus. In this report, we will delve
into the various activities and programs that our organization has participated in
throughout A.Y. 2023-2024.
IN-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES/PROGRAMS:

GENERAL ASSEMBLY
General Assembly, bearing the resounding theme, TONIKO: “Ang unang tono patungo sa
patuloy na pagsulong”. This extraordinary event isn't just about fostering camaraderie; it's
a mosaic of pure delight, brimming with exhilarating activities, riveting competitions, and
an enlightening seminar crafted to offer a harmonious fusion of knowledge and
amusement. Held last December 1, 2023, at CMDI auditorium.

LET’S TAX ABOUT IT!

As part of the general event, this seminar talks about taxation presented by our guest
speaker that day, Ms. Kate Hazzle Janda. Sharing her invaluable knowledge about tax laws
in the Philippines to all Accounting students who attended the event.
 EXCEL IN EXCEL
As part of the general event, this seminar talks about the software tool, Microsoft excel
presented by our guest speaker that day, Mr. John Francis Aviso. Imparting students with
knowledge about this software application can be a key skill in pursuing a degree in
Accountancy.

ACADEMIC QUIZ BEE

This event challenged the participants’ knowledge and understanding of different
Accounting subjects. This aims to promote learning, critical thinking, and retention of
information while fostering healthy competition among participants.
 NON-ACADEMIC SHOWDOWN
In this event, we are not only showcasing the cognitive skills of our students but also
showcasing their talents in different aspects such as poster making contest, slogan making
contest, and spoken poetry.

ACCOUNTANCY NIGHT
These gatherings are facilitated by JPIA-CMDI where Accountancy students gather and
build connections. With each heartwarming embrace and lively conversation; they
evolve into vibrant tapestries of togetherness, illuminating the path towards deeper
connections and lasting friendships.

CMDI AMBASSADOR & AMBASSADRESS

The CMDI Ambassador and Ambassadress represent the epitome of grace, leadership, and
dedication within the CARD-MRI Development Institute, Inc. (CMDI) community. These
esteemed individuals embody the values of the institution and serve as beacons of
inspiration for their peers.

CMDI YELL/FLOOR DANCE COMPETITION

Participants ignite the stage with their spirited performances, infusing every step, jump,
and chant with passion and flair. As competitors unleash their boundless enthusiasm, the
competition transforms into a vibrant celebration of talent, unity, and the vibrant spirit of
CMDI.
 CMDI SPORTS FEST
The CMDI Sports Fest is a dynamic and exhilarating event that brings together students,
faculty, and staff in a celebration of athleticism and unity. Throughout the fest, the
campus buzzes with excitement as participants compete in a variety of sports and games,
ranging from traditional favorites like basketball and volleyball to more unconventional
challenges like tug-of-war and relay races.
ADVOCATE FOR AWARENESS INITIATIVES:
ZERO WASTE LIFESTYLE

Through engaging posts, we can highlight simple yet impactful actions that everyone can
take, such as reducing single-use plastics, composting organic waste, and repurposing
items to extend their lifespan. We can also showcase local initiatives, businesses, and
events that promote sustainability and waste reduction in our area

WOMEN'S MONTH
The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants - CARD-MRI Development Institute, Inc. -
Bay, Laguna commemorates National Women’s Month with the theme “Lipunang Patas sa
Bagong Pilipinas: KAKAYAHAN NG KABABAIHAN, PATUNAYAN!”.
As part of the celebration, we aim to raise awareness against prejudice and advocate for
the rights that people deserve. It is time to recognize each woman’s courage, ambition,
excellence, and beauty in fighting for equal treatment for women. We have to keep
striving for a brighter tomorrow in which each one of us is not merely acknowledged, but
also respected. In which women may move freely and fulfill their adequacy to stand tall.
 FIRE PREVENTION MONTH
The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants - CMDI stands in solidarity as we kick off
the celebration of Fire Prevention Month 2024 with the theme “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Di
Ka Nag-iisa.” Despite the scorching heat of summer, we are reminded of the importance of
fire safety and prevention in our communities.
Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we can empower individuals
and communities to take proactive measures in fire prevention. Together, let us take a
stand against the threat of fire and work towards creating safer and more resilient
communities for all.

PERTUSSIS AWARENESS AND SAFETY REMINDERS

As we approach the Holy Week’s gatherings, trips and vacations, let's ensure our health
and safety remain a top priority. Protect yourselves against pertussis (whooping cough).
This highly contagious bacterial disease presents itself with a persistent cough lasting two
or more weeks, accompanied by uncontrollable coughing and even vomiting.
Understanding the cause, Bordetella pertussis bacteria, and its mode of transmission,
primarily through direct contact with respiratory discharges of infected individuals,
underscores the importance of preventive measures. Antibiotics can help shorten the
communicability period, but prevention through vaccination is better than cure.
Ensure you and your loved ones are up-to-date with the three primary immunization
doses of DTaP vaccine. Always wash your hands, and cover your nose when coughing. It is
also encouraged to wear facemask.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting its golden glow upon the mountain hue, our
regional town hall drew to a close, leaving behind a trail of 𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬 and 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬
𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐰 with the warmth of shared success and collective spirit.
May this moment mark the start of countless luminous adventures and unwavering
commitment to reaching new heights. With the compass as our guide and the mountains
as our muse, there's no limit to the adventures we can conquer and the horizons we can
explore.

 INTERNAL AUDIT TRAINING PROGRAM
The search for 𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗣 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻, as the participants took their shot for the 1st Phase of the
qualifying examination. Each participant undergo an examination composed of a 100-
item multiple choice questionnaire about Auditing, and will last for 3 hours.
For registered participants, the Internal Audit Division sent the examination guidelines
via email yesterday, December 16, 2023.

LAGUNA YOUTH PARLIAMENT 2024: Shaping tomorrow through social legislation

Mr. Angelo Martinada is 1 of the 55 official delegates over 160+ student leader applicants all
over the province of laguna. Became, official delegate of the Laguna Youth Parliament 2024
representing Municipality of Calauan and the JPIA-CMDI. Assigned to be part of the
Committee on Labor and Economic Empowerment and then Elected as the Committee
Secretary.
Co-Authored the Committee Ordinance entitled "An ordinance localizing the
implementation and provision of the Republic Act No. 10869 otherwise known as the
Jobstart Philippines Act in the province of Laguna". The ordinance won as the Best
Ordinance during the LYP 2024.
