Industry Visit Report
From Aeronautical Department, Under the guidelines of Head of the Department Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde and the class mentor Professor Lokesh Vijay there was Industrial visit for 4thSemester students on 13/07/2023 and 14/07/2023. the place for the industry visit is selected as Bangalore and Chithradurga. There were 28 students and the responsibilities was taken by the faculty of the Aeronautical Department Professor Girish and Professor Jagadeesh.On receiving the permission letters from major three companies, on 13/07/2023, students with faculties visited DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization) located at Challakere (Chithradurga) is an Aeronautical Test range (ATR). It is an outdoor testing and evaluation facility, exclusively for unmanned and manned aircraft. The ATR is under the command of the aeronautical development established (ADE). In security we submitted our mobile phones for the safety purpose. Later the research scientist in charge gave the brief information about the testing range. After visiting DRDO, students deeply understood how a government body works especially which protects the nation via airways. The industrial visit to DRDO was an enriching experience for the students in getting live exposure of technologies used. Next day that is on 14/07/2023, students visited Flow and Force engineers the servicing facilities located at Bengaluru (Karnataka), the workshop recondition the engines and accessories. Basically, this company manufactures and supplies hydraulic and pneumatic systems. And on the same day visited Aerosapien, is an aerospace research and aerospace critical structural manufacturing company, located at Bengaluru.it is one of the good recondition workshop or company of machines and accessories. The company makes various types of aircraft parts, as well as focusing on new electric UAV's and auto-piloting systems. This industrial exposure equips the students with the technical and soft skills essential for a successful career in engineering. They learn to improve their communication skills and understand how communication takes place across verticals.it also enables to identify, articulate, model and solve problems.
