Objective(s): By the end of talk about personal rituals by sharing opinions and using phrasal verbs
this lesson, students will -use verb + object +infinitive to talk about advice,request and warning by writing

- talk about marketing and environmental issues by answering questions..
-review expressions of purpose.

VOCABULARY 1-Warm-up: Teacher starts his class presenting a tongue twister. He Saturday 5

 Pre. Teacher asks SS about pets , What kind of pets or mascots do you
like ?SS will see the title of the text, they will predict what the article is
going to be about.

 During .Then SS will read the exerpt ,teacher clarifies new words and
correct pronunciation, Ss will match words with definitions.
 Post. Finally SSand T check the correct answers then Ss will discuss
some questions about mascot traditions.

-3-Grammar focus 2.

Presentation: teacher introduces the grammar through a conversation, he
explains function, he provides them with new written examples about the use
verb+ object +infinitive. He uses a digital index card . practice. SS will complete
a table from the text and rewrite sentences with given verbs (textbook page
73)production. SS will make up new sentences using the grammar in use, they
may share them or read them with the whole class.

4-Speaking and vocabulary activity: Ss will read a paragraph about ritual,


they will express their opinion if the people follow rituals or not. SS will complete
sentences using phrasal verbs about ritual. Finally SS will talk about personal
rituals and share them with their classmates(pairwork)

5-vocabulary activator :SS are going to talk about the different ways to do
marketing in Nicaragua. Then ss will discuss questions about environmental
issues.
6-Grammar talk: SS will discuss questions using expressions of purpose.

REINFORCEMENT / HOMEWORK
Day 1 SS will work on the language wrap up section page 78. Writing.SS are
Day 2 going to write a short paragraph describing their family traditions.
