2.2 Pm3DData FOLDER AND IMAGES LOCATION
3D and SmartPan images taken with Planmeca X-Ray devices are located in the Pm3DData folder.

When an image is captured, a folder containing the .RAW frames and various information about the
exposure is created. The name of the folder is based on the date and time when the exposure was taken,
i.e: Year / Month / Day / Hour / Minutes / Seconds. For example, a folder named 20140901132856
means that it was created on 1st September 2014 at 13h28mn and 56seconds.

The Pm3DData folder also contains, amongst other crucial components, the sensor calibration folders
and the reconstruction algorithm.

2.3 NETWORK CONFIGURATION

The Dell Precision T3600’s Network Manager is by default disabled. If the defaults IP-addresses require
changing, network cards must be reconfigured using the “Edit motherboard NIC configuration”
configuration file shortcut on the desktop. Also, the localhost IP-address stored in the “/etc/hosts” file
must be changed by using the gedit program shortcut on the desktop. For more detail information and the
complete procedure, please get in touch with the After Sales Department.
2.4 RAID MANAGEMENT
Dell Precision T3600 uses hardware RAID controller and two 1TB hard drives in RAID1 mirroring. Data is
always saved on both hard drives, which will protect user from losing all data at once. Moreover, the user
can continue working on even a single hard drive. RAID BIOS configuration and status can be accessed
by holding down ‘Ctrl’ + ‘r’ keys during the boot.
If a Dell service technician has replaced a hard drive he should start the RAID recovery on the new disk.
2.5 REMOTE USE
For Remote desktop and SFTP we recommend using MobaXterm, http://mobaxterm.mobatek.net/
It is also possible connect remotely to the RecoPC using Putty, a software delivered with all Romexis
Installation DVD package under Tools/Putty.

3 DIAGNOSING HARDWARE ISSUES
Intel vPro enabled on each unit allows remote diagnosis of the RecoPC from the acquisition PC when it is
turned off, as long as the RecoPC is plugged in to a power source and a wired or wireless corporate
network. It can also be used to power the RecoPC on/off or to reboot the computer remotely.

Remote functionality from acquisition PC

View RecoPC hardware configuration using web browser
Access RecoPC BIOS and Dell Diagnostics even when unit fails to boot
View Linux boot messages to diagnose boot problems
Access Linux serial console – even possible when Linux networking is misconfigured
All above made possible by Intel AMT and Serial-over-LAN (SOL) provided by Intel vPro technology.

Would you like to take advantage of Intel vPro, please refer to the step by step configuration methods on
the Intel website:

3.1 DELL ENHANCED PRE-BOOT SYSTEM ASSESMENT (EPSA) DIAGNOSTICS
If you experience a problem with your computer, run the ePSA diagnostics before contacting Dell for
technical assistance. The purpose of running diagnostics is to test your computer's hardware without
requiring additional equipment or risking data loss.

The ePSA diagnostics (also known as system diagnostics) performs a complete check of your hardware.
The ePSA is embedded with the BIOS and is launched by the BIOS internally. The embedded system
diagnostics provides a set of options for particular devices or device groups allowing you to:
• Run tests automatically or in an interactive mode
• Repeat tests
• Display or save test results
• Run thorough tests to introduce additional test options to provide extra information about the failed
device(s)
• View status messages that inform you if tests are completed successfully
• View error messages that inform you of problems encountered during testing
CAUTION: Use the system diagnostics to test only your computer. Using this program with other
computers may cause invalid results or error messages.
NOTE: Some tests for specific devices require user interaction. Always ensure that you are present at the
computer terminal when the diagnostic tests are performed.

1. Power-on the computer.

2. As the computer boots, press the <F12> key as the Dell logo appears.
3. On the boot menu screen, select the Diagnostics option.

The Enhanced Pre-boot System Assessment window is displayed, listing all devices detected in the
computer. The diagnostics starts running the tests on all the detected devices.

4. If you wish to run a diagnostic test on a specific device, press <Esc> and click Yes to stop
the diagnostic test.
5. Select the device from the left pane and click Run Tests.
6. If there are any issues, error codes are displayed.
