Apollo DRF 4.0 is the renewed version of the well-known Apollo DRF
system, and allows to realize all typical R/F exams through an outstanding
application flexibility associated with high performances, providing
remarkable results thus enhancing the workflow and the patient care
• Outstanding performances and results thanks to the dynamic Flat Panel technology, a new
dedicated imaging software and the automatic system’s positioning and setting according to the
projection
• The new intuitive user interface of the digital system, the new touch screen collimator with
patient-centering controls, the new remote console with integrated two-way intercom and the
video camera for patient positioning improve the usability of the equipment and enhance the
workflow
• The new multilayer tabletop with reduced X-ray filtration, the automatic grid removal and the
video-camera for patient positioning allow to reduce the dose, while the borderless tabletop with

Key features existing on Apollo DRF
• The Multi-grid system automatically selects one of two grids according to the
projection to achieve the best image quality and sharpness. The grid is also automatically
parked when a grid-less exposure is required, for instance to reduce the patient dose for
pediatric exams, or for extremities
• The ±40° motorized column tilting allows to perform oblique projections at table edges
• The robust mechanical structure of the table allows a maximum patient weight capacity
of 284 kg without limitations
•The stitching procedure for full-leg/full-spine exams automatically acquires a series of

exposures and stitches them in a single image

Similar to CT, tomosynthesis is a digital imaging technique based on the low

dose acquisition of projections at different angles of an anatomical part, which
are processed through advanced reconstruction algorithms to obtain a series of
high resolution slices parallel to the exam plane
