What is your inquiry question that interests you for further research? It should be a question that connects with
a purpose, passion or personalized area of interest for you. This is a question that you cannot just google an
answer for. Please see examples from your Capstone booklet.
My inquiry question is:

How can i benefit others with golf advice, while at the same time learning too?

Rationale/context: Detail your reasons for choosing this inquiry question. Explain WHY you are choosing to
investigate this topic as a major area of focus. How does this area of inquiry connect to your passion(s),
purpose? Why is it of personal interest to you?

I chose this topic because it is one of my passions. I love to golf and the idea of incoorporating it into my
capstone makes it a project i will enjoy completing. Doing something of your interest in this project will
definetley make a difference on how much time you are willing to put into it. I am planning on spending a
large amount of time on this as it will not only helping me academically, but also in my own personal life.

Background: What background knowledge/connections/prior learning do you have in this area of inquiry?

I have been golfing for a few years now so i have some experience as well as connections associated with
it. I have been taught by a variety of people in which will keep providing advice to help with what aspects to
share with my project.

Career connections: What is your intended career area at this point in time? What connections does this
inquiry question have to your life, academic and/ or career goals?

To make a career and go pro in Golf is a very hard thing to do. Although it is not something im trying to
pursue a career after, it can help me in many ways than not. I intend to keep golfing in my future, in golf

 you meet a variety of people and therefore creating connections that can possibly open up oppurtunities for
me later on in life.

Interdisciplinary and core competencies connections: What subject areas and core competencies will
be connected with your project? Outline and explain the connections.

One of the core compentencies i will be using in my project is Creative Thinking. I will need to use this
comptency when i am ideating and devoloping with what to share online. Another use of this core
competency will be when generating ideas through others. Asking others for advice is something i am
planing on doing throughout my project.

Another core compentency i will use is Personal Awareness and Responsibility. Self motivation and
responsibility will be the two things im keeping in mind during this process.

I think i am going to use a powerpoint to present my project. On that powerpoint i will be including all of the
videos i made, as well as my research i put into the different aspects of golf. I will also be documenting my
improvement throughout while hoping others take that step forward as well. My powerpoint will cover what i
researched. It will have a link to all of my videos that i made. as well as a before and after video of my
swing and if i saw any progress at all throughout creating this project and hopefully having a fun time doing
so. Lastly it will showcase some more advice that i am going to use after this is due to keep on improving.

Description of my Capstone project. Specific Project Details of the Capstone Project: what will you
research, create, study, produce, solve, investigate? What product will be produced at the end of this
project for evaluation. Write a one-page description outlining your proposal.

In my Capstone Project, i hope to be giving tips out to golfers, as well as seeing how much
improvement i gain over these next few months working on this. Whether it be sharing videos on
youtube or tiktok i plan on making simple videos that beggining/average golfers can use to help
their game. I also plan on using these tips myself and see how they affect my swing. A good
platform like tiktok makes it super easy to share short length videos that are accessible to anyone.
Spreading the word about my profile can also benefit me and encourage others to check it out
too. I am going to study other creators videos too seeing what they are sharing online with others
and testing them myself. A large chunk of this project will be research. Researching the correct
information for tips is very imporant, the last thing i want to do is share the wrong advice and
someone go out and use it. A few content creators that have inspired me to do this are Golf
Slump, Garrett Clark and Mac Boucher. I love watching these 3 creators and they all share useful
information about the game of golf. I also hope to investigate how fast i can pick up on something
such as tweaking my swing or my putting. Putting is something ive always had a tough time with
so to work on that while i help others too is super beneficial. I hope to produce a somewhat
successful channel that has helped atleast 10 people improve their game of golf. This is my
outline, First im going to be spending a lot of time researching websites/videos and take some
notes down. I will be asking peers around me with what they struggle most with when they are
golfing, i will make a list of these and put it aside for later. I also want to take a lot of videos of my
swing, I plan on doing a before and after side by side comparison to see if i have changed
anything. Next, i will go and develop ideas using my list of other peoples struggle and hopefully i
can make a positive change for them. I will be using mentors to help ideate different ways to get
my point across. After i have an idea of what i am going to be sharing out, i will start my videos.
My videos will all vary in different perspectives such as club grip, proper stance, and etc... I will
then edit my videos adding text/voiceover and some music to make it better. At the same time
filiming these videos i will be keeping track of my own progress with videos of myself. I will be
using the tips i shared out to see what affect they have. After i have made multiple videos
covering a wide variety of topics, i hope to ask the ones who shared their weaknesses if i had
helped them in anyway. I will document this in my powerpoint. My powerpoint will include what i
researched/where i researched, all of my videos that i created on my platfrom as well as a link to
my channel, A before and after video of my swing and how much it affected my game on the
actual course, and how i can continue to improve after i complete my project.

Resources/ Technology/Skills: Make an assessment of the resources, technology and skills you will
need to be able to complete this project. What is your plan to be able to access/learn all of the resources
necessary to achieve completion of this project? Detail your plans.

Obviously my first and main resource will be my golf clubs and my phone, buy my biggest challenge will
be accessing the course, and range. Going to these places make it much easier to showcase what i am
sharing. I will have to plan a lot in advance and make sure my schedule lines up correctly. As far as
technology i will be just using my phone for filming and posting these videos. For skills, i am going to need
a quite a bit of perserverance to get me through this project. I know there will be a lot of hardhships during
this so getting through them will be a challenge.

Mentors/Community Connections: What types of mentor(s)/community connections will you need to

help you complete your capstone project? How will your mentor(s) help you? What is your plan to access
the mentorship/community connections necessary for this project?

I plan on having a variety of mentors during this project. My mentors will help me with developing ideas of
topics to cover in my videos, they will also help with filming, and helping me share my channel to others.
My mentors will need to be invloved in the game of golf and have some knowledge on the basics. My
mentors will be somewhat easy to access as one of them will be my father. My father is the one who
introduced me to the game of golf so i feel like its right to have him as my mentor. I will be using other
mentors as well not just one.

Project limitations: What are some project limitations and potential obstacles that you foresee that might
affect progress with your Capstone Project?

A potential obstacle i might face is weather issues. Currently were in the winter season of golf so finding a
course with good conditions is tough. Another obstacle is the driving range near me being closed. It has
been closed for almost a month now and i am unsure when it is opening back up. Another obstacle i
could see happening is my videos having a low amount of views and nobody seeing what i have posted.

Other considerations: List and detail any other related information/ considerations about your project
that you feel should be included in your project proposal.

-Some other considerations i have made about this project is if nothing goes to plan, such as just the
videos not working out to how i imagined in my head, i have considered just focusing on myself and see

 what progress i can make if i train daily.

- I will be making most of my videos at red woods driving range id imagine, or even a short par 3
course would be perfect to showcase the small things.
